5.00We live in north London so we hadn’t really thought of doing guided tours here, having preferred to do our thing with the kids when they were young. However we’re absolutely converted to them now after the most wonderful morning with our guide, John G. His knowledge is absolutely vast, his stories entertaining and humourous . He could answer every single question from our small group with full knowledge and detail, and he made an effort with each of us to find out where we’re from etc. The nicest thing about having a guide like this is that you can totally relax knowing you’re going to see all the best things at the best time, with great info and you can ask any questions . There’s no poring over maps trying to work out who wants to see what and when it’s open and then queuing etc. It was an 8am start at Tower Hill, but so, so worth it for no queues in front of us and we had the Crown Jewels just to our small group. Amazing, loved it all and thank you, John!

3.00Lots of good history, but you don’t actually go into any of the structures except for the Crown Jewels. I would recommend doing such a tour in the morning so there is time to go to explore the towers before they close for the night.

5.00Ben was wonderful. His tour was a mix of history, and interesting facts, while guiding us seamlessly through everything you wanted to see and needed to see. Ben’s sense of humor was an added pleasure. He also through in some special surprises. A photo op with a Beefeater and watching the changing of the guard. 4.00I liked our guide, Warren, as he had a great delivery and knew a lot of information. I thought since this tour was labeled “torture” that we would see some of the cells or torture equipment used. We did see some torture devises used at the very end but only because I asked about it. We needed to see the dungeons in the White Tower to see more but it was closing and we didn’t have enough time. The dungeon should have been included on the tour. Much was said about the beheadings but we didn’t see much. The tour was good but not great.

5.00Amazing trip, fantastic guide (Dom I think) the tower is full of our history and is so important, the beefeater’s and artillery are exceptional. Being able to see the Crown Jewels is breathtaking. The guide can show you all the importing and tell you so many facts that you may miss. Then you can still look around on your own when your tour is over. Definitely an interesting attraction and well worth seeing
