Wengen is a lovely car-free mountain town at 1274m (4 180ft). It's located on a big cliff between Lauterbrunnen and Männlichen so the views are just stunning.
Me and my little dog friend would like to take you to the most charming part of town. This is where the first residents of Wengen settled, now a small habitat of a few farms. This place will show us the true beauty of the Swiss countryside full of cheeses from local farmers and variety of animals.
Along the way, we will see beautiful views of the famous Jungfrau, Mürren, Schiltorn (place of James Bond movie production) and the Lauterbrunnen valley literally all the time.
However, views are not everything - we will pass a local farm, where we will have opportunity to buy ice cream, cheese and cold cuts directly from the farmer. Prepare some cash for this occasion.
There are various animals on the farm, such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, goats and, of course, cows grazing along our trail.

During our stay at Lauterbrunnen wanted to explore a Swiss Village. This trek turned out to be a nice way to do this. The guide had good knowledge. The trek was through roads winding through farms, houses and water streams. Our 7 year old daughter also enjoyed this. Will definitely recommend this trip to explore Swiss villages beyond the touristy points.

We booked this tour hoping to actually enjoy playing with the animals on an alpine farm. There were no animal interactions or really a tour of a farm. However, Weronica took our family of four with 2 teenagers (17 and 19) along with a lovely British couple on a few mile walk around Wengen. She was very informative about the area, the customs, the cheesemaking, and the Lauterbrennan valley. The hike itself was easy, the gardens of the homes in the area are breathtaking as is the view. I hope they would revamp the advertising of this trip as a "walk" through Wengen rather than visiting a farm. Regardless, it was a great experience and we learned a TON about the area.

Such a fun time. We had the best day sledding. It was easy to get a hang off and Weronika was so patient.

Seeing the cows and llamas and alpacas and chickens and kitties was delightful! We saw the ski runs and the beautiful homes and gardens and tasted the clear water coming down from the glaciers. Wonderful walk!! Very informative. Weronika served a delicious meal with melted Raclette cheese over veggies, potatoes, bread, and apples. The pickles and spices were a perfect topping!! Loved every bite!

A trip with Weronika was what I was looking for. The perfect combination of an easy walk and a warm lunch with some delicious Raclette cheese that I couldn't find in restaurants. As a solotraveler, it was very important for me to ask the viewers from a local person about what to see in the area, what trails to choose so that they were not difficult but satisfying and full of beautiful views. I also got a lot of tips on where to eat and how to move around Switzerland, because you can't get everywhere by car. Thank you again for a great day with you and good luck with all your experiences! I am gonna be back for more :)
