This was the Edinburgh Castle tour. Highly recommend! Request Toni you can, she was fantastic! I initially booked a tour begrudgingly because I wanted to just do the regular castle ticket and they were sold out online so I had to book a Guide service but I’m so glad I did! I learned so much and Toni was a fantastic storyteller and wove the history in such an engaging way! It starts outside the cathedral and then you walk up towards the castle. I was doing the tour with my 11-year-old son and he really enjoyed it also. I think we learned much more than we would have on our own and you still get to go wander around to your heart content after the tour as it ends in the heart of the castle. Highly recommend!

Walking is a must. Enjoy the experience and soak in the history of the place. There's nowhere else like it. See the museums located on grounds, well worth the time. Would not plan for less than 3hrs.

Will has all the knowledge about the edinburgh castle. The information he told us was more entertaining to us than the castle itself.

We had a great time touring the Edinburgh Castle with our guide James. He was very knowledgable and entertaining, and added a fair bit of humour to the overall experience which we enjoyed immensely the castle itself is beautiful and well worth the visit. We are glad we booked the tour through Viator as it has once again proven to be an extremely trustworthy source of excellent tours. We highly recommend this tour and give it a five star rating.

James was the most interesting and engaging guide. His stories of Edinburgh and the Castle were just the right mix of education and entertainment! We even booked a second tour with this company because of how Impressed we were with this tour.

Jack gave an extensive and easily digestible informative guide on the history of the castle starting from how it came to be up until its remodeling and its notoriety. My family and I entered with low expectations and left highly impressed. An additional unexpected plus: our tour guide was very handsome. I highly recommend this tour.
