You will be guided through the grounds of Edinburgh Castle. It is worth to note that we can not take you inside any of the Caste Buildings (no tour operator can) but we will give you the rich history of the Castle, it's place in Scottish history and many of it's more unusual tales so that after the tour you will be able to explore the Castle with a much deeper understanding than a casual visitor.

This was a great tour. Euan was a great tour guide, and added a good amount of humor to the tour. It ended up being rainy and cold (welcome to Scotland) but well worth it.

Wear warm clothes. It gets cold. Prob not for very young kids as I think they’d get bored. Don’t be in a hurry. Stay a while after to explore more of the castle

It was a smart decision to book with Viator as getting tickets to the castle would have been difficult otherwise. Our guide Max was animated and injected fun into the tour along with providing critical historical info along the way. A tour of the castle which starts a 1/4 mile away from the entrance is not for those who are not able to walk any distance. Also, the property has a lot of uphill climbs and stairs to navigate while in the castle. If you are capable of walking with these particulars in mind, then you will have an enjoyable time.
