As an introduction to Scotland and the city, I would recommend getting on this tour. Friendly, welcoming and witty, he managed to give us a great summary into the history and lay of the land. I appreciate the group size as well - it was easy to follow the guide and also hear what was going on, without a sound piece.

Had a wonderful tour! Allister was great, giving us insight into the history of the castle. We took the 11:30 tour which allowed us to be inside the castle for 1pm cannon launch. Our group was small and personal. At the end, he gave us some local recommendations which we found to be fantastic. Book this tour!

Alistair is brilliant..... he is full of really interesting stories, while sharing all of his knowledge from a historical perspective. Because Alistair is so passionate and such a great communicator, the time absolutely flew. He left me wanting more, and that's the reason that l say, Alistair is such a brilliant guide.

Good tour God was very informative shared a lot of history that we would have not gained otherwise. A lot of uphill so be prepared you don't necessarily go inside of the buildings that you have to do on your own.
