5.00Tour was great! Alastair was very friendly and personable. It was a small group so it was very easy to ask questions, hear what he was saying and stay together as it was very busy. I lucked out and was able to see the 1 o clock gun without even planning it. I enjoyed the history and fun facts and the ability to explore after. Would definitely recommend!

5.00Very enjoyable tour with Alistair. The wonderful vignettes he told and his sense of humor made the 1.5 hours just fly right by. He gave us juat enough guidance and directions without smothering us with too much information. I was on the 11.30am tour which ended perfectly with the 1pm Canon. After that we were free to see the crown jewels, St Margaret's church, roam the grounds and go to the gift shop till the Castle closed. Highly recommend Alistair.

Having a local, independent Scotsman guide made all the difference; his passion, humor, and storytelling brought Edinburgh Castle to life in a way a standard tour never could. He made me feel so welcome and went out of his way to include me throughout the tour. From breathtaking views atop Castle Rock to the Crown Jewels, St. Margaret’s Chapel, and incredible tales of battles and royals, every moment was memorable.
