5.00Alisdair, the “local Scottish guy in a kilt” is the best tour guide we’ve ever had in all our years of traveling. I’ve gone on tours with guides before, so I know that it’s worth it to have a guide, even for a place that you might THINK that you don’t need one. Book this tour, you will not regret it! Alisdair gave so many great insights from the moment we started walking toward the Castle up until the very end. He grew up in Edinburgh and has great stories that you just can’t get if you walk through it on your own. He also gave us some great tips on places to eat (he really knows his stuff). We had a fantastic day and we owe it all to Alisdair, such a great tour guide!

5.00As an introduction to Scotland and the city, I would recommend getting on this tour. Friendly, welcoming and witty, he managed to give us a great summary into the history and lay of the land. I appreciate the group size as well - it was easy to follow the guide and also hear what was going on, without a sound piece.
