Our 16 mile (25 km) long Sky to Sea route takes us to the highest and lowest points of Edinburgh accessible by tarmac on a choice of manual bike or one of our popular pedal assist e-bikes, for a more relaxed experience.
Visit our very own volcano, Arthur's Seat, with its panoramic views across the city, to the golden sandy beaches and sea views at Portobello. We also pay a visit to the Port of Leith, with over 600 years of maritime history, and the Georgian New Town, a UNESCO world heritage site with it's private parks and grand town houses.
Transport to the start of the route is provided free of charge from the city centre, in our custom bike bus. Your tour will end centrally, close to the Waverley Station.

An absolute highlight of my vacation - will recommend to everyone I know and treasure this amazing day forever. It didn’t feel like a cookie cutter guide, it felt like I had a best friend for the day.

Excellent adventure thru the city and to the coast. E-bike was great to ride and made the ride easy and enjoyable. Our guide had great insight into the city which made the tour even more interesting. Would recommend this for everyone.

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. Johann was very knowledgeable about area. The route was beautiful (even on a gloomy, November day). This was an absolutely fantastic way to get an overview of all Edinburgh has to offer. One of my favorite vacation experiences ever.

The tour was a very enjoyable experience and we got to see many beautiful areas of Edinburgh that we may have overlooked if it wasn’t for this ride. Johann was friendly, very knowledgeable, prepared and ensured we all had a memorable time. Magnificent sites included, riding along canals, Holyrood Palace, up and around Arthur’s Seat and down to Portobello Beach. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the city, enjoys a bike ride and also a history lesson on all the places of note. In addition, we were collected from our hotel and dropped off very close by ensuring we all were really well looked after.

Be prepared to enjoy yourself with a knowledgeable and kind guide. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and to see it by bike with a knowledgeable guide was a great way to start my time here. I look forward to returning to some of the places we visited on my tour.

We had great weather (yea!) and a lovely bike tour with Johann today. The bikes are in great shape, the route is very well planned, a great way to see Edinburgh and many of its neighborhoods. Johann's strength as a guide is his long history with the city, it seemed like he had a personal connection to almost every neighborhood we cycled through.
