I recently joined the 4-day Isle of Skye tour with Timberbush Tours as a solo traveller, and it was honestly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had in Scotland. From start to finish, everything was well organized, stress-free, and incredibly welcoming for someone travelling alone. A huge part of what made the trip so memorable was our tour guide, Santa Paul. He was absolutely fantastic. He is very knowledgeable, funny, energetic, and genuinely passionate about Scotland’s history, culture, and landscapes. He made every stop interesting with stories, local legends, and historical insights, while also creating a warm and friendly atmosphere within the group. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how inclusive and approachable he was, making it easy to connect with others and feel comfortable throughout the journey. The itinerary itself was breathtaking, from the dramatic Highlands to the magical beauty of the Isle of Skye, every single day felt like a postcard come to life. We visited beautiful locations, had plenty of photo opportunities, and enjoyed each place. Santa Paul even added ninja stops sharing with us his personal favorites. The accommodation, transportation and itinerary were excellent. The small group format made the experience more personal and enjoyable, and the coach was comfortable for the long scenic drives. After spending four amazing days with the group, saying goodbye genuinely made me sad. We had all become connected that there was a real sense of separation anxiety when it was time to part ways. That alone says so much about the kind of experience Santa Paul creates for our group. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially solo travellers looking for a fun, safe, and unforgettable way to experience the Highlands and Isle of Skye. And YOU KNOW WHAT? (Paul’s lovely favorite line) if you’re planning to book this tour, make sure to look for Santa Paul as your guide because he truly makes the experience unforgettable. I know I’ll definitely be booking with him again in the future. Also, booking directly with Timberbush Tours gives you a 10% discount, which makes the experience even better value for money. Thank you, Santa Paul and Timberbush Tours, for such an amazing adventure I’ll never forget. Santa Paul, you made the tour EPIC! When I book again I will request for the tour with you as our tour guide.
