What can I say about Egyptoria that hasn’t already been said. They were amazing right from the start and made this trip one with so much enjoyment and ease. Egypt has been a travel destination I have been dreaming about for over a decade. Tom was incredibly helpful and prompt in helping us plan out this entire trip and continually helped From the airport, Islam was incredibly helpful in sorting out our visas and getting through immigration. I personally was travelling alone at that time and arrived a little after midnight and Islam helped me through to checking in to my hotel, for which I am so grateful. He helped my parents and Ibrahim helped my brother when he arrived. They were just as helpful when we were leaving. In Cairo, Alexandria and Siwa we had Mostafa as our tour guide. In our first few days in Cairo when we visited the museums and Pyramids, he made the whole tour enjoyable by making the information that he presented to us interactive by asking us questions or what we thought something may have meant, rather than just giving us a stream of information, which would have been overwhelming. Mostafa was also really helpful when we wanted to buy some clothes from some of the small shops in Siwa and we needed some help in negotiating a price. He was also really helpful when we asked about trying to find food to eat in local places, as opposed to those that are just for tourists. In Siwa we got some dates (which they are known for) and we got some dried hibiscus as well. Also want to shout out our amazing driver, also called Mostafa who drove us all the way back from Siwa to Cairo which was 10 hours. In Aswan and Luxor we had Ahmed as our tour guide who was fabulous. He made the entire experience so much fun, as he invited us into the ancient world he was guiding us through by referring to us as a ‘royal family’, not only talking about the ancient history of the sites we visited but also shared a lot about the culture of Upper Egypt as well, that is vastly different from the rest of the country. He also really helped us when we asked to try local food and got us something spicy as well (which we were craving haha!). We got to eat some amazing koshary and some falafel sandwiches. He also took us to a store that sold clothes made from egyptian cotton and we bought a few and wore them on the trip! they were some comfortable and affordable. We also bought some spices from a store that he took us to, which was great. This was definitely the trip of dreams and one which exceeded all expectations. I will definitely been recommending Egyptoria to all my friends and family when they choose to visit Egypt in the future and I will definitely be reaching out to them when I decide to visit Egypt again.

At each sacred site, at every resort, during every event and every form of transport our safety was never a concern. Tom and his crew treated me like family.. especially the day I was not well. They took great care of me! I loved that everywhere we went we were greeted by the statement “welcome home”! When I return to Egypt, I will definitely request Tom and his team lead my trip!

Egyptoria Review Month visited: September 2024 Length of time: 19 days Locations: Alexandria, Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan, Cairo, Black and White Sand Dunes Activity: Snorkeling, Desert Camping, Temple Sites, Shopping, Eating, Hot Air Balloon Wow, I cannot believe that I was able to check off a bucket list destination: Egypt. I watched a lot of documentaries about the ancient temples and civilizations of Egypt’s past, and to finally walk and place my feet on the paths of those that have walked the same land, feels surreal. You can’t help but stretch your imagination and wonder what was life like back then. The ease of being shuttled to and from, ticket purchasing, translations and comfort brought peace of mind with Egyptoria. My friend and I flew from opposite parts of the world and we coordinated our landing time within an hour of each other. Although we landed on opposite sides of the airport at different times with delays and what not, we found the timing aligning perfectly for us to meet and shuttle in the same car to the airport that Tom arranged for us. It was reassuring to know that there was an Egyptoria guide waiting for us to assist with the visa process. To say the least, when we sent our picture to the entire group that we were going to meet in a week, it gave everybody so much of a sense of relief. Tom did a great job of coordinating and organizing the itineraries that would hit all the main points that we personally wanted to visit, like a Dendera Temple, Hurghada for snorkeling, Alexandria for its history. We said, “Tom, we’re adventurous and we want to see diversity.” He was incredibly patient, walking us through what each experience entailed and what we would see. We had a good variety with ample amounts of time to rest and not feel like we were being stretched. Our guides and drivers were so incredible! They were funny, respectful, happy, entertaining, knowledgeable, hospitable and we were always sad leaving them. We really missed them dearly. Our time with Mofassa and Mohammed in Alexandria - when I think about - just makes me smile so big. They were SO SWEET! After watching Anthony Bourdain’s ‘No Reservations’ episode in Egypt trying the traditional pigeon dish, I said, “Mofassa! Take us somewhere to try this. I am not leaving until I try this!” It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Not only that, but he also took us to a bakery and we tried some of the most delicious baklavas and gelato! WOW! Being a professionally trained chef, food experiences are always some of my favorite. Alexandria has an awesome nightlife culture, but beware - it does not get quiet. There is action all the time. We were excited to see some of the guides/drivers continue on like Raama, who is such powerhouse of a human and Adele! My friend and I loved spending our days with them. His mother made us the best juice, too. I love how sweet all the mothers are. Raama knew all the best shops to please any woman’s heart for shopping, which is what my friend and I love doing! We are the bearer of gifts and we were also happy to bring some very nice Egyptian hand loomed cotton scarves and blankets home. Most all the hotels that were booked for us for were clean, safe and luxurious enough. We really enjoyed the massages in general in Egypt, but most especially offered in Hurghada Marriot. We ate like kings and queens at The Four Seasons in Cairo and the Sheraton in Alexandria. The food at Jolie Ville in Luxor was subpar, but the staff and amenities were nice. To make up for that, we were the some of the only ones who could say that we did the HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE! Don’t pass this one up. It is a wild sensory experience! I would do it again. One tip I would suggest is that if you go snorkeling, specify what kind of experience you would like. A private and intimate setting or a more touristy experience with a larger group. I am not a big swimmer, but I would say that floating in The Red Sea was phenomenal. Don’t pass this up. I am definitely looking forward to coming back to Egypt and seeing other parts. Bring lots of $1 for tipping as men standing in the temples “watching guard” will always ask you for money. I wish I had brought a big bag of candy for all the kids. This is a place where kids know how to do business and they’re very charming. They will ask you to buy something and although I didn’t buy much, I know how a lollipop or a small sweet treat would have made them happy. It never felt unsafe as we were always with someone from Egyptoria. Definitely be smart like you would anywhere and pay attention and be aware. Bring an umbrella! They definitely helped take the brunt of the beating sun and pack your high quality salts for hydration. Thanks for making my first Egypt adventure so memorable, Egyptoria Team!!! My favorite highlights was trying pigeon and sweets of Alexandria, tasting a fresh date for the first time, seeing kids ride the donkeys so skillfully, sleeping under the stars in the desert, all the delicious food buffets, halava, snorkeling in the crystal blue Red Sea, hand loomed Egyptian cotton textiles, floating down the Nile to the Nubian village, allllll the temple sites and intense markets, the pyramids and riding a camel, hot air balloon ride over the Luxor temple complex before sunrise and the mindblowing Nubian welcome dance with drums and singing. :)

Our trip to Egypt in September was a bucket list adventure, all thanks to Egyptoria! From the moment we booked, the experience was seamless, and the attention to detail was beyond compare. We had private tours of the iconic Pyramids, with the unforgettable experience of going inside them—a dream come true! The tour also took us to significant religious sites, like the place where Moses lived and the church where the Holy Family stayed. We were in awe visiting the various temples and ruins, from Luxor’s incredible burial grounds to the cities of Cairo and Aswan. The guides were knowledgeable, passionate, and made every historical detail come to life. From plane to bus to boat ride, the team and guides from Egyptoria were there every step of the way. They made sure our journey through Egypt was a profound, once-in-a-lifetime adventure we will cherish forever!
