What To Expect
El Yunque National Forest
We are going to visit the eastern side of our rainforest El Yunque for a fun adventure. A hike guided by a local tour guide of 30 to 40 minutes long on a muddy, slippery but fun path where we would learn about the flora and fauna hidden in the mountains (PROPER SHOES ARE RECOMMENDED). Also get to swim on fresh, natural pools, have fun on a natural waterslide, cliff jumps and rope swing (water activities are optional).
Luquillo Beach
After the hike we are going to visit one of the oldest markets in Puerto Rico, Los Kioskos de Luquillo, to have a delicious puertorrican lunch close to the beach (food price not included).

5.00Lilo’s energy was the highlight of our trip! She provided an amazing experience and showed us the hospitality and might of Puerto Rico and its people. We had the opportunity to do a unique hike with water activities, face painting, history lessons, food stops, and fruit. There was never a moment we felt rushed, always supported! Throughout the different phases Lilo provided clear and helpful instructions keeping our safety a top priority all while having fun. I’d highly recommend this experience as El Yunque Rainforest is a beautiful place to explore with tons of biodiversity. I’d even more highly recommend booking with Isla Borinken especially Lilo if you want a more intimate tour experience with a knowledgeable guide that cares for the environment. Lilo’s charisma will carry you through the entire experience!

5.00Marlon was absolutely phenomenal and made this experience one of the highlights of my trip to Puerto Rico. His knowledge of the rainforest was incredible—he explained the local flora, plants, wildlife, and ecosystem in a way that was both informative and engaging. Beyond the hike itself, he shared fascinating insights about Puerto Rican culture, history, and traditions that gave us a much deeper appreciation for the island. Marlon was friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made everyone feel welcome, kept the group engaged, and ensured we had an amazing time from start to finish. The organic waterfall hike was beautiful, but Marlon’s expertise and personality are what truly made the experience unforgettable. 5.00Adriana was our tour guide and she was AMAZING, couldn’t have asked for a better guide, she was super informative about the Forrest itself and recommend amazing restaurants post Forrest, she is a nature lover and encouraged us to not be afraid in getting in the water. Everyone there was incredibly respectful and responsible and I can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again!

5.00If you’re looking for the best El Yunque Waterfall Adventure, stop scrolling and book with Isla Borinken Tours. I actually found them on Instagram and messaged Marlon with about a million questions before booking. Do I know how to swim? No. Am I scared of water? Absolutely. But that has never stopped me from saying yes to an adventure. Our guide, Lilo, was incredible. She was educational, encouraging, patient, and made everyone feel comfortable from start to finish. They picked us up, guided us through El Yunque, and helped us navigate everything from the natural waterslide to cliff jumping. And after all that excitement, they surprised us with fresh fruit at the waterfall. The day didn’t end there. We headed to the kiosks in Luquillo where Marlon met up with us, somehow knew every single person in my group by name, and even bought us shots to celebrate our 10-year vow renewal. Then Lilo treated us to mojitos. Out of everything we did during our five days in Puerto Rico, every single person in my group said this was their favorite excursion. Hands down, we’d do it again. Isla Boriken Tours, you guys are amazing.

5.00Our hike excursion in El Yunqué rainforest was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip! Lilo was absolutely incredible, supportive, kind, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about the rainforest, plants, terrain, and local environment. She made everyone feel comfortable and kept the energy fun the entire time.You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it made the experience so much more memorable. The hike itself was beautiful, adventurous, and something I’ll never forget, but Lilo truly made it a 10/10 experience. The hike to do the water activities was definitely a bit more challenging than the beginning of the hike so I would definitely recommend wearing hiking shoes or good sneakers that you don’t care to get pretty muddy wet. It was about a medium to hard hike so if you have any asthmatic issues, heart, physical problems then I would say to skip. Besides that I would HIGHLY recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Puerto Rico! I would definitely do this again no doubt. Thank you again Lilo for the tour and incredible hospitality and experience.

5.00This was an amazing experience. Lilo was the best tour guide we could have ever asked for. She brought us a fresh fruit treat for the hike/river and was encouraging to everyone along the way. She clearly is very passionate about what she does, she educated us about El Yunque and Puerto Rico in general. Before you get there you will stop for the best smoothie of your life. During the hike you get to go down the waterslide, rope swing, and cliff jump. On your way back you stop at a beautiful beach with many kiosks. Overall amazing experience - ask for Lilo if you can!
