By far one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Elafonissi is situated on the south west coast. A tropical effect is created by its white and pink coral sands. Head to the right for shallow water in a small enclosed lagoon ideal for the children. A walk through the lagoon to the islet is most worthwhile as you will discover this unique coastline.

We will stop at the cave of Agia Sofia where there are options either for breakfast or to visit the cave (257 steps).
Elafonissi Beach
One of the best beaches in Europe with white and pink sand and crystal clear water. To reach the beach we walk through the protected area (900 meters walk.) A shuttle van can be arranged for people with disabilities upon agreement with the guide.

2.00The guys were nice and the coach modern and comfortable but if I planned to visit Elafonissi from Chania again I would rent a car. This was a 12 hour day in return for 3 1/2 hours on the sand. 2 long stops in mtn towns and an unscheduled trip to Kissimos Port (more than an hour round trip) turned it into a day on the bus instead of a day on the lovely beach

5.00It was well organised, well guided and an amazing trip! I would highly recommend taking part in it. We had three stops. First one to see a cave. The second one - great time at the most beautiful Elafonissi beach. The last one was in Elos, a great tavern for a family meal.

4.00The tour was wonderful, the weather (not in your control) made the beach visit a bit disappointing. The bus driver and the tour guide were fabulous. The information shared was fascinating and enlightening. The Agia Sophia cave and the village of Elos were wonderful. Our family is very tall and the seats on the bus were a bit challenging for us without a lot of knee room. Thanks for the view of the rare vultures! And it was a bonus to get to see the countryside outside of the city.

5.00Great excursion. The beach is very beautiful, with some strips of pink sand, despite the wind of the day. The guide gives a lot of explanations and information about the region.

5.00We had fantastic day, as the tour guide was excellent. She told us many interesting bits of local detail and was able to answer any question put to her. There was enough time at each of the places we went to, and we thoroughly enjoyed the recommended family run restaurant in the mountain village we visited as well as our dip in the Libyan Sea despite the weather being a bit overcast
