Kuiburi National Park is the only place in Thailand where more than 320 protected wild elephants live and you will have the unique 99% opportunity to see them in this untouched wildlife. In addition to Asian elephants and gaurs, the other relatively common mammals are golden jackals, various deer, langurs, white-handed gibbons, Burmese hares, Malay porcupines and wild boars. Kui Buri has a rich fauna of birds with over 260 species currently. Crested falcons, grey peacock pheasants, ferrous partridges, Tickell's brown hornbills, white-crowned hornbills, brown fish owls, yellow-ventilated green pigeons, white-fronted dwarf-eared owls, mustache hawks, red-necked hornbills, blue-collared parrots, chestnut-nickel fork tails, red-bearded bee-eaters, maroon woodpeckers.There are also birds like the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller and Asian Openbill bird or even gaurs and leopards.

What To Expect
Kui Buri
Kuiburi Visitor Center is a 1-hour drive away from Hua Hin by air-conditioned car. You will swap the vehicle into a 4-wheel pick-up car, on seats on the open back of the car. Before the Tour Guide show you around the Visitor Center and give you useful information about the Park
Kui Buri National Park
There are still about 320 Protected Wild Elephants living in this National Park and you will see them coming out to eat. Let's also visit the beautiful dry-moist forest and we can spot some birds such as the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller and Asian Openbill bird! Sometimes we could spot some Gaurs, Leopards. Please note before making a booking: These elephants are freely in the Wildlife National Park, not in a zoo or animal garden. There is a 95% chance of seeing elephants in the wild. However, we cannot guarantee with 100% certainty that will see elephants or how many you will see. Sometimes you may see them from a distance, or they may be just a few hundred meters away There are also many other to observe, such as birds and gaur.

5.00Absolutely amazing! We understood there was a chance of seeing no elephants but knew we would have loved this whole experience anyways. Luckily, we saw 3 elephants from far away though! And so many gaur and their babies. The scenery was beautiful. The whole trip was seamless. Easy, on-time pickup, our guide was very knowledgeable and sweet, safe driver, and since it was just us in a private 4x4 national park vehicle we were able to take our time at each of the stops to really take it all in. Our guide (I’m so sorry, I can’t remember her name) got amazing photos of my partner and I that we will cherish! This was part of our 10-year anniversary trip and we couldn't have had a better way to spend this big day! The place we stopped to get food afterwards was DELICIOUS!! We ate it all, haha All in all, an absolute must to add on to your visit to Hua Hin. Even if you don’t get the chance to see elephants there are other animals and a beautiful drive through this stunning part of Thailand to enjoy.

4.00This was a lovely experience. We saw a group of elephants, and a lone male, all from afar which is just what we wanted. There is no guarantee that you will see them. The guide (Bob) was extremely knowledgeable and despite the constant heavy rain maintained enthusiasm throughout! I would book again.

5.00What an amazing experience. We were collected from the hotel by our guide Em, who was so passionate and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us so many insights into local life. Once at the reserve, and transferred into a jeep, we managed to see elephants after only one hour of looking. It was incredible. Em and the guide were quick to spot horn-bills, gaurs and of course the elephants roaming freely. The meal at the end was also absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend.

4.00Good experience-rich tour with skilled guide who had a great knowledge and interest in elephants. We saw elephants in their natural habitat. There were quite a few in the park who probably helped to disturb the elephants so they quickly hid. But we got some good experiences despite this. The restaurant where we had dinner, made really delicious food for us. But we sat right by a highway. It was something disturbing.

High price for 7 km there and the same 7 km back and an hour and a half waiting for a place or an elephant to pass. Eventually I saw 1 elephant hidden in the green. On the way back delicious food in nice location

5.00Beautiful views an escort at the top. We hung out until the last moment and could see the elephants and buffaloes... but it was borderline, you have to be patient because it's not a zoo

3.00They call it safari but it is actually a simple tour with a short drive and stops at 4 observation points. We saw only one elephant from afar. Others on different days were luckier. The tour ends at 6 pm that is just when the heat decreases and it is easier for the animals to get out of the forest. They say that in the wet season it is easier to see the elephants

5.00The drive to the safari was beautiful. We saw so many different crops and the landscape was so pretty. We had a private jeep, with a guide. The scenery at the safari was stunning, a wide range of trees. The drive was about 30 mins, we waited at the last stop looking for elephants. They were finally spotted, and we watched them from a distance. It was spectacular. The food on the way home was just delicious. Really informative guide, good driver. Outstanding customer service.
