I had a wonderful time at the half-day morning program at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. From morning until afternoon, I had close interactions with the elephants, including feeding them, bathing and showering with them, enjoying muddy playtime, and even helping preparing their special diet food. One of the most interesting thing was learning to make a paper with their poop- it was surprisingly fascinating! The program also included a delicious Thai lunch at the property which I enjoyed a lot. There were a clean shower facility afterwards, and I bought some souvenirs for my friends before leaving. Overall, it was enjoyable experience and I highly recommend to anyone who loves elephants and wants an ethical ,hands-on experience with them.

Must visit! Don't skip on this. Transportation, education, lunch and hands on time with the elephants was top notch. They will take photos with your cell phone free of charge. A photographer takes professional levels photos that you are provided for free. Lunch was provided and excellent. I can't find one single fault. Staff was great! Do this one!

Overall the experience was awesome. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and you can tell the elephants are treated well and care for their caretakers. The food at the end was a delicious local home cooked meal. I would absolutely recommend checking out EJS. When waiting at the Ekkamai bus terminal, I’d recommend staying up front. EJS called me to tell me what car the driver was in and he was parks up front (I would make sure you have cellular service for this as wifi wasn’t available). We left the bus terminal at 10:40 and arrived at EJS at 12:40. Upon arriving, they provided tea/coffee and a few complimentary snacks while we waited for the tour to start - which was at 13:40. All activities were exactly as stated on the website. We finished with the elephant activities at 16:00 then we were treated to lunch. We left EJS at 16:30 and arrived back in Bangkok at 18:30.

What an amazing experience. The team look after the elephants like family; it’s clear to see they are well looked after. Each elephant has its own handler to help create a bond. The morning was timed really well; didn’t feel rushed and had plenty of time with the elephants (doing what elephants love to do which is eat, mud and bathe!). Can highly recommend the morning session; yes it’s early but it’s less crowded and a much better experience. The hosts were excellent, giving lots of information about the elephants. The lunch provided afterwards was delicious. Remember to take a towel and a change of clothes because you absolutely need to get in the water with them!

This was the most amazing experience. We were very lucky and there were no others booked in at the same time ( brilliant for us not so good for the charity) guide and mahoot were very friendly and knowledgeable, a great atmosphere and lots of banter. Elephants were not tethered but clearly bonded with caretakers, I had to be reminded that these had been brought up in captivity for work and tho had been rescued could never be released in the wild but had the best life possible- bathed in a huge pool it was clear the elephants enjoyed it as much as we did!

This was by far the best thing we did in Thailand. It was wonderful to see the elephants, and also the staff was so great. I can not say enough good things about this experience, except that I'm glad I didn't miss it!!! Staff is very, very helpful talking about each elephant and their history. They will gladly take lots and lots of pictures for you - so you can just enjoy your experience. The lunch and snacks were very good!! Just a great time!!!!

Forget riding the elephants (which can be cruel to the animals). This was so much better! We were amazed at feeding the elephants, washing the elephants, hanging out with the elephants and patting their trunks, mixing up their vitamins, and just getting to know their personalities. This absolutely could not have been better. The guides are clearly passionate about the animals and their care, and about educating people about these massive but docile creatures. And a delicious lunch to boot. What a wonderful organization. This experience is not to be missed.
