Nine Arches Bridge
Train tours in the highlands of Sri Lanka, is rated as one of the best train tours in the world. And of course, the majestic Nine Arch Bridge is one of the many reasons for that. The glorious Nine Arch Bridge between Ella and Demodara station is one of the engineering marvels in the early 20th century. The giant arches take the bridge on a curved path to link to mountains. The Bridge was commissioned in 1921 under the British Government.

Ravi, our guide, had a very interesting and enjoyable day! When it rained, the content of the tour was flexible. The driver also made the trip with peace of mind as he drove safely. I would also like to ask you when you come to Sri Lanka ✨ Thank you very much.

My tour guide, Suranga Wedikkara, was truly the most outstanding, attentive, and professional guide I’ve ever met. His excellent driving made long journeys comfortable, and he was always warm, punctual, and eager to help with any need. Throughout the trip, he shared fascinating insights into local culture, food, history, and daily life. In Galle, he explained the colonial past and tsunami stories, and when I was soaked from feeding sea turtles, he quickly found a shop for dry clothes. Knowing I love photography, he often stopped at scenic spots and never showed impatience. On the long drive to Ella, he suggested I rest in the back seat, and his smooth driving let me sleep well and avoid motion sickness on the winding roads. As a solo traveler, I especially valued how he took photos for me at each spot, even composing shots thoughtfully. Small gestures—like handing me cold water exactly when I needed it—showed his care. I’m very grateful for his guidance and highly recommend him!

We were a group of five, including two children, and had a truly memorable day! During our visit to Ella, we explored some amazing places such as the Nine Arches Bridge, Rawana Waterfall, and the Udawalawe Elephant Orphanage. Our tour guide, Mr. Oshan, was exceptionally helpful and informative, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

I have purchased so many bookings here in Trip. But this one is by far the best experience I have had here. Thank you Oshan for showing me and my wife how beautiful Sri Lanka is. Will definitely come back for more

The tour was not Japanese-speaking and I was on my own, but my guide Oshan was very friendly and helpful. They responded to all my requests and I had a great day. It is highly recommended because you can efficiently go around the sightseeing spots in one day.

I had such a fantastic time on my private tour to Ella with Ceylon Paradise Travels. My guide, Oshan, was absolutely brilliant; so attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny. He made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal and was always happy to answer questions or adapt the trip to suit my interests. From the scenic drive to the breathtaking views of nine arches bridge and little Adam’s peak, everything was well organised and ran so smoothly. I felt safe and well looked after the entire time and Oshan’s insight into the local culture and factual knowledge really brought the places we visited to life. I’d definitely recommend this company if you’re looking for a value-for-money, friendly and professional tour experience in Sri Lanka with hidden gems. Thank you again Oshan, you made the day truly memorable.

It was a wonderful experience to travel on this tour as a first timer to Sri Lanka. The itinerary was well organized which was quite relaxing and yet I got to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The guide Mr Sachi was very pleasant, professional and attentive. He was punctual despite an early pickup time at 3am. When making the tour arrangements, I was contacted by the tour agent Ms Janani, who was also very helpful and responsive to my concerns and queries. The tour and the team were excellent. Well done! I would highly recommend the tour operator Ceylon Paradise Tour!

The tour is not cheap, but there are other transportation costs. For example, can't drive to the Nine Arches Bridge, so park the car and then take a tuk-tuk, which costs extra. It's not expensive, but I wonder why that price isn't included in the tour fee. Also, on the way back, he asked me to write a review on TripAdvisor with a score of 10 out of 10. I told them I would write it when I got back to the hotel, but they asked me to write it before I arrived at the hotel. I have to write it in front of the person, so there's no way I can write the truth. If I thought it was a really good service, I would like to support them by writing a review after I get back home, but I really don't like this kind of forced request.

I initially thought we would join a larger tour group but it turned out to be a private tour with a car, driver and our own tour guide Sachi. Super service overall, despite the early pickup due to us staying in Galle. Sachi was very patient with us, answered a lot of our questions about the sites and even took a lot of great pictures of my wife and I. We visited all the sites exactly as advertised, was timed perfectly to beat the crowds and capped it off with a lovely meal at a local restaurant near the Elephant reserve. Would definitely recommend the tour and especially with Sachi as the guide.
