According to tradition after the crucifixion of Jesus, St John did bring Mother Mary to Ephesus with him to hide escape persecution. They did spend their last years in Ephesus which was a very prosperous trading city. The House of the Virgin Mary is located 6 kms (3.7mi) from Ephesus and surrounded by pine and olive trees. It is made of stone and looks very small and humble

5.00Unfortunately I am writing this weeks after the tour and I forget my guides name, but he was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable on everything, helpful and went out of his way to get us to see everything we could in one day. Highly recommend!!

5.00Huseyin was awesome. He noticed that our hotel breakfast did not start until 9am so he suggested a start time of 10 and my family was still eating breakfast at 10. he kindly waited and helped us load into the car. it was raining so he suggested we visit a leather factory which is famous in kudasi. at the factory my daughter got to walk on the fashion show runway. then miraculously the rain held up until we were 90% done with ephesus. Huseyin acted like our private photographer and must have taken over 100 pics of our family. highly recommend Huseyin and private tours for anyone with a family

5.00Thanks a lot to Mr Adnan for arranging everything for us according to our requirement, we had a formidable day at Ephesus visiting the ruins of the ancient city and learning more about the ancient and also have been able to do shopping. Our guide Mr Riza and driver Mr Burak was formidable. Hope to come again.
