This excursion includes an itinerary in stages to let you know and appreciate places of particular natural value within the reserve of the Etna Park up to an altitude of about 2000 meters. Thanks to the experience of our staff, aboard 4x4 vehicles you will live an interesting and fun experience at the same time. Starting from the lava flows that threatened entire villages, you will visit the extinct craters and the lookout of the majestic Valle del Bove. You will visit a lava flow cave (lava tube) equipped with a helmet and speleologist lights. The tour will end with a tasting of Sicilian specialties.
IMPORTANT NOTES: our meeting point in Trecastagni a MontataGrande accessible by car.
It is possible to request pick-up from Catania or other countries.

What To Expect
Mount Etna
The tour winds through the visit of different attractions (at least 4): the ancient and recent lava flows; the Valle del Bove; the visit of a volcanic cave with lights and helmets; walk on the side craters at about 2000 meters.
Valle Del Bove
Panoramic stop in the spectacular Valle del Bove, a natural amphitheater created by the collapse of the ancient eruptive centers of Etna. This stage may not be carried out starting from Taormina. Alternatively, you can reach the ski resort of Piano Provenzana destroyed by the 2002 eruption.

5.00Francesco was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide about all things Mama Etna. This trip was amazing from the hike to the craters, the inside of the lava tube, and the jeep ride to the lava flow. The tastings and our lunch were an added bonus! This was a highlight of our travels.

5.00Must-do if you visit Catania! We truly enjoyed out trip to Etna. Our guide Ciccio was amazing and super fun, full of sooo many stories, we learned so much about Mama Etna. Our 5 year-old daughter loved the experience - from climbing Etna, and the lava cave to the 4x4 off-road trip and delicious farm food.

5.00Well-organized excursion with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Visit to the lateral craters with a brief and pleasant hike, the Valley of Bove, lava cave, and then return to the starting point with a tasting of typical products. Everything was perfect considering that we did it with two children aged 5 and 7 who incredibly enjoyed it.

5.00⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We did the Mount Etna 4x4 jeep tour and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish – a perfect way to spend the day. From the very beginning, everything was so well organised. Mario collected us from our hotel and brought us to the meeting point, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with – so friendly and welcoming. We even got to see his village on the way, which was a really nice touch, and the kids really enjoyed chatting with him. The meeting point itself was beautiful – a lovely scenic spot with incredible views of Mount Etna. There was also a shop there with amazing local products and produce (we ended up buying loads!), and the whole setting felt relaxed and enjoyable. Sitting outside with that view, in such a calm atmosphere, was just lovely. Our guide Carmelo was outstanding. He was so patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and explained everything in such an engaging way. You could really tell how passionate he is about Mount Etna, and he made the whole experience both educational and fun. He was brilliant with the kids too, which made a big difference for us as a family. We got to see so much throughout the tour, and one thing that really stood out was how little walking was involved. We had someone with us with mobility issues, and this tour was ideal – something I know I personally look for when reading reviews, so hopefully this helps others too. Overall, it was such a memorable experience with genuinely lovely people. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area – especially families. Thank you Carmelo and Mario for making it so special!

5.00The only thing is to bring a jacket as it’s kinda cold on the top , it’s very suitable for all ages too our grandchildren were 9 & 11 and were well able and we were close to 70 … it was amazing to see and the guide Carmello was an excellent guide full of information and knowledge and he was so kind n nice too … it was a wonderful trip for us all …

5.00With my family we had a beautiful and unique experience! Mount Etna is beautiful but we can thank our guide Piera who took care of our children, withering them with her explanations and the thousand experiences she made them live. Involving and knowing how to manage on excursion two children so lively and dynamic is not easy but Piera was a great. He entertained the whole family. Piera is a very prepared guide who involves you with her knowledge and love for her land. I recommend it to all families (and not) because she is an all-round professional, as well as being extremely sunny and welcoming. At the end of the hike we enjoyed a great lunch at the Montata Grande reception point. I think Piera will hardly forget us either! Philip, Lorenzo, Alice and Marco .

5.00Wonderful experience! We did a pvt Jeep tour! Highly recommend this one! Giampiero AKA Chicho was a wonderful guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of history. Our entire hike was in the snow and he made sure we were safe in every way He also recommended great restaurants and food not to miss in the area!
