This excursion includes an itinerary in stages to let you know and appreciate places of particular natural value within the reserve of the Etna Park up to an altitude of about 2000 meters. Thanks to the experience of our staff, on board of 4x4 vehicles you will live an interesting and at the same time fun experience. Starting from the lava flows that threatened entire villages, we will visit the extinct craters and the viewpoint of the majestic Valle del Bove. We will descend into the meanders of the volcano visiting a lava flow cave (lava tube) equipped with a helmet and speleologist lights. The tour will end with a tasting of Sicilian specialties.

IMPORTANT NOTES: If you have a car we recommend that you reach our meeting point in Trecastagni in MontataGrande.

LANGUAGE: During the high season there may be overbooking of reservations for one language. In this case, a tour leader speaking the selected language will be guaranteed in the scheduled stages of the tour.

Mount Etna

The tour winds through the visit of different attractions (at least 4): the ancient and recent lava flows; the Valle del Bove; the visit of a volcanic cave with lights and helmets; walk on the side craters at about 2000 meters.

Valle Del Bove

Panoramic stop in the spectacular Valle del Bove, a natural amphitheater created by the collapse of the ancient eruptive centers of Etna. This stage may not be carried out starting from Taormina. Alternatively, you can reach the ski resort of Piano Provenzana destroyed by the 2002 eruption.

Amazing guide! Very kind, knowledgeable and passionate about the Etna! The meeting point (where you can also have lunch after the tour) was beautiful and well adapted for kids (with a slide and swing!). We loved the tour and highly recommend it.

Excellent tour. Our guide (Allessio) was terrific. He knew a lot about the volcano and gave us demonstrations drawing maps on the ground. We were the oldest two on the tour and he made sure the activities were appropriate for us. Highly recommended.

Ciccio was an excellent guide. He explained every thing you needed to know about Etna - geological, historical and agricultural. Although the day started clear heavy cloud prevented viewing at one site. The alternative site we went to was good though. The produce tasting at the end was a great and tasty finish. Note: the start and finish are a long way out of Catania. You need to have a car or have public transport organised.
