• Quite thrilling and fun but need to pay a bit more attention to safety and passenger comfort

  It was a really wonderful experience - good blend of culture, adrenaline and natural beauty. As with any tourist experience, there were goods and bads, with plus far outweighed the negative. We got to do bits of many different activities and didn't get into one activity in touch detail - that's the nature of this experience with focus on breadth over depth. Good: Dune Bashing and ATV: When we reached the site after having been picked up from our hotel, we were taken for dune Bashing in a 4×4 vehicle. It was truly an adventurous experience for and we were a bit apprehensive in the beginning, but our driver (Noman) was a talented and expert driver who maneuvered safely l, yet adventurous, through the topsy curvy terrain. Sitting at the back seat, we were told wells more adventurous as these cars had specialized springs installed at the rear end which made the experience more bouncy! But beyond a certain point, we didn't feel any danger to us and our kid. Driver dropped us off at one of the dunes where the sand was gorgeous golden red colour and very soft. We had the opportunity to do sand boarding, running up and down the dunes and taking really cool pictures against the picturesque and serene sunset in the dessert. ATV was provided at an extra cost (250 AED) for 30 minutes. I drove the ATV with my kid riding with me at the back. Drove it at a safe but enjoyable speed. Nice thrilling experience overall. Food and cultural show: after dune Bashing, we went to the khaima camp for dinner and evening cultural show. BBQ was simply delicious and one of the best I've eaten (and I've eaten a liy of bbq). Food options were quite good and diverse (3 types of rice, salads, chuttneys etc.). We also enjoyed the strong chai (tea) after the BBQ. During dinner (we had VIP seats at the top, but even the floor seating was really good and wish we had that!l, there were a number of performances including a fire show, cultural dances etc. My kid loved that in particular. Camel Ride: short 1 minute ride at the end of the dinner was icing on the cake. We also took pictures with dessert hawks which my kid loved! Bad: Drive from parking to khaima camp: After we were done with dune Bashing and ATV, we were asked to sit in another SUV along with our group, except this time instead of 8 seater, it was a 7 seater, so we were asked to "adjust" and have our kid sit on our lap. We thought it would be ok given it would be a short drive. But as soon as the driver started driving, we were proven extremely wrong!! The driver without any care or concern for safety, decided to give us an unannounced dune Bashing experience. And started driving extremely recklessly. The issue this time was that our kid was sitting in our lap and his head was hitting the metallic bars at the top hurting him quite a bit. My wife and I kept screaming and kept requesting the driver to slow down and drive properly, to no avail. It got so bad and scary that my wife and kid were in tears by the end of the ride! Other members of our group also got concerned by this time and started requesting the driver to slow down. When the car finally stopped, I had a stern conversation with the driver, who gave me thousand reasons why it was necessary for him to drive that way. Eventually he did apologize but by that time, this part of the experience had left a bitter taste in our mouths.

• Excellent Trip with Attentive Tour Guide

  The entire trip was every enjoyable. The tour guide/driver was very attentive to our needs. The ATV part of the tour was the most memorable because we don't do this often or at all. The disappointing part was the camel ride which was just a around an area that was 8m by 12m rectangle area. Anything else, it was extra cost. This should be made known ahead of time. The desert BBQ was nice. Dune bashing was also enjoyable even though my wife and I were stuck in the back row of the SUV. Overall, the entire tour was very good.

  Speed with car in desert. Good feeling with driver, he was nice and smart and could talk of all important things.

  Mr. Sajjid drove us to all the activity spots and was helpful. Highly recommend him. He knew people and the language which made us very comfortable

  Very poorly organized. You keep getting shuffled between drivers. The food was terrible and most of the members in our group skipped the dinner. The driver was rushing us to get back to beat the crowd and we missed the last performance. I'd done a similar experience around 10 years ago and this experience was definitely a downer for me compared to my prior experience.
