We done the tour on the main deck with window seats. The only downside were the massive blowflies on the boat, that's it. The cruise itself, crew and food were really good. We were lucky enough to have Kiah doing our sarah island tour and she was magnificent. Overall 10/10

Relaxing cruise along Macquarie Harbour and the Gordon River. Dinner was delicious. Our on board guide, Emily, was very informative. We learnt about the discovery of the harbour, salmon farming and huon pines. The tour of Sarah Island was fascinating, our guide Lyell was very charismatic and we learnt alot about the history of the convicts.

From the moment you got on the ship, Andy on the upper deck was very friendly and attentive, helping with every request. The tour, although we had rain on and off was great. Very educational and not rushed. The food!! Oh the food! It was delicious and generous plus having brought the premium upper deck ticket, allowed you to eat as much as you could fit and drink the same. Would highly recommend 🤗

We cruised on Spirit of the Wild departing Strahan at 3.15pm. What a magnificent afternoon/evening it was. Captain Ben and his team were fantastic. Harriet and Hannah our two main hosts could not have been more friendly and informative. The information was presented on board in such a dynamic, interesting way through engaging story-telling. Sarah Island was a real highlight for our group. Thanks to our brilliant guide James who was engaging the minute we stepped onto the island. He brought that island to life with his humorous historical tales. Travelling down the Gordon River was awe-inspiring and learning in more detail about the environmental activism that took place was a real highlight for me. It was a wonderful experience and our group all walked away with a deep appreciation for this incredible part of the world.

The ship is totally modern and ensures perfect views from inside and outside! Staff was totally set up and very friendly. It was asked again and again if you would like to have a drink and the food offer was excellent. Both trips were interesting and in a cozy setting. The sights on the way were super approached and great explained. The AUD 285.- is a lot, but for 6 great hours with wonderful food certainly a good investment, as what you experienced is unique. We had an amazing afternoon and evening cruising the Gordon River. The staff were super friendly and informative. The stops at both the heritage landing and Sarah Island were fantastic but the most incredible part was the passage through Hell’s Gate. Highly recommend this cruise!

The Evening Dinner Cruise experience with Gordon River Cruises was wonderful. From the moment we boarded the state of the art vessel we were very comfortable. We were welcomed aboard with afternoon tea before heading into Macquarie Harbour, travelling past fish farms before entering the Gordon River. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us great insight into the history of the area. She led us a Wilderness walk along the boardwalk from the Heritage Landing, which again was a great experience. We cruised back down the river past Grommet Island, and docked at Sarah Island. Here there was another guide, Kiah Davey, he was simply with her story telling of Tasmania's oldest penal colony. This was followed by dinner on the boat and it really was First Class with a great selection of food and wine. From there we cruised out through Hell's Gates for the sunset experience, again, this was really wonderful. I cannot recommend #GordonRiverCruises highly enough. It was a great experience made even better by attentive and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend the Premium Upper Deck experience.
