My wife and I have done several of these tours and this one was by far the best. Our host and guide, Jai, was the main reason being a 3-4th generation local of Delhi. He mixes in historical accounts and reasoning. Being a local, he has a personal relationship with every place we stopped which was a visible difference when we bumped into the occasional tour group from another company. Jai takes you to many historic stops that are gateway to delicious food offerings too, he offers you: An authentic “Masala Chai”, wholegrain breads coupled up with curries and fruit ingredient sauce, traditional sweets, lassi, local creams etc. Very delightful and amazing 3 hours while you are being led through ancient neighborhoods with beautiful grand old houses, dazzling textile zones and finally into the Asia’s largest spice market. Without a doubt he cares about you having an enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend getting in his tour. Lovely to note that we had 4 in our tour grouping which was perfect (they limit to 05-06). We saw other tour companies with much higher numbers which there is no way they are getting into the smaller establishments or even hearing what is being said by their guide on the street.

We visited Old Delhi on 25–26 April and had a great time exploring the heritage and food items. We were able to experience not only the cuisine but also the rich culture of Delhi. We enjoyed visiting ancient temples, wandering through the narrow lanes of the old town, exploring historical places, and tasting amazing traditional food. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience

We got to experience local dishes we never would have tried on our own - and everything was absolutely very tasty. Jai Singh was a fantastic guide: very knowledgeable, fun, and easy to spend time with. An excellent experience and worth every penny.

02 years ago, I Did an Old Delhi heritage walking with this company. Now a street food tour in the same areas had been on my bucket list for a long time, and I’m glad that the wait was finally over and I had the pleasure of having their expert guidance again. I convinced my 03 other friends to experience this food crawl. Jay, our storyteller was very attentive and patient with our requests. We had delicious food and all the time, he kept us enthralled with his stories and tales. The spices, tea education session at one of the real spice merchants place and sipping tea among the spice bags was excellent. He made our visit an unforgettable one. From tasting the delicious local delicacies in the winding streets of the old town, to the Heritage walks through Chandni chowk street and historical areas was absolutely amazing!

I had a memorable trip to Old Delhi with my colleagues, and this walking tour was truly the highlight of my India journey so far. Jai Singh didn’t just show around us the city—he made us feel its historical relevance, its essence, and its timeless treasures. The Food Walk was an explosion of tastes, flavours, introducing us to the real tastes of the old town. The old town Walk was led throughout the cultural and spiritual heart of the city of Delhi, traversing through narrow alleyways full of life and rich history. The bicycle rickshaw rides were total fun, watching the hustle bustle of the gleaming textile zones, and the pinkish hue on the vibrant “Chandni chowk street”. Both the heritage and the food walk experience was thoughtfully curated and brought to life by our incredible storyteller, whose storytelling made the tales and the fables of the old town come alive. If you are looking forward to truly understanding and experiencing the magic of the old town in its cuisine and its history, then go for this amazing tour by “old Delhi heritage walks”, these walks are an absolute must! Totally and wholeheartedly recommended.

We had an amazing time with Vijay who took us to the historic quarters around Old Delhi. It was amazing trying real street food and we felt really safe at all times. He also took us to various bazaars, showcased historical buildings, so we felt that this tour had a lot to offer. He was very knowledgable about the food and history so it was great spending time with him as we tried some delicious food! Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Delhi and who wants to see the old and the Authentic side of the city.

Old Del heritage tours hosted the best authentic cultural food experience during our trip in Delhi, India. He took us to fascinating and hygienic places to eat where the locals go, we would have never found these marvelous spots on our own. The guide also explained a lot about the historical relevance of the heritage zones during the trip. This far exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend him for anytime you are in Delhi.

I highly recommend it. If you are interested in trying any authentic and hygienic street foods, go for it! You will stop at clean hygienic places along the way!. This tour is a perfect mix of food, history, and authentic sightseeing. The guide was a local himself, he is kind, insightful, and knows all the back alley ways to get an off the beaten path experience. I have been traveling for 3 months and this was one of my favorite tours.

Our Delhi food tour started with a local Indian guide and just one additional traveler from the U.S.A. We tried several food items, like delicious “Poori” bread accompanied with potato curry, snacks & sweets, for the beverages, we tried refreshing lemonade and the best chai we’ve had so far, and freshly baked flatbreads with different sauces at a nearby stall. Everything was incredibly tasty, and mildly spiced. Next, we explored the spice market – truly a feast for the senses! Everywhere we looked, there were sacks filled with colorful spices and rich aromas that made us sneeze and laugh
