I had a great time at the tour guide. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and made the tour light-hearted and friendly. We walked for a couple of kilometers, even went a little farther from the city center. To learn about the markets, how people were punished for petty crimes and serious crimes, the Gravensteen, the lanterns opposite Gravensteen (how they are connected to maternity homes in Ghent), how some neighborhoods have changed over time – it was a great and memorable experience. This was a perfect opportunity to explore Ghent especially as a solo traveler. I got to learn about the history of the city and also the activity was perfect to do in the evening. Ghent is picturesque and we had plenty of opportunities to take fantastic photos of the place along the tour.

Would definetly recommend! Not only is it very informative, its fun and you get to see some really beautiful places too. Shoutout to Kenny for running the trip as i was the only to turn up the first night so he didnt run it, and then the next day he promised he would regardless! It was also a great way to meet people as a solo traveller. Also finishes intime to go for food/beer afterwards. Loved it!

Kenny is a fantastic tour guide with a clear passion for what he does, Ghent, and it’s very very dark history. I cannot wait to visit Ghent again and I will be doing this tour again!! An unmissable tour that is a must for anyone with an interest for dark history.
