TRA is a truly professional trekking operator. They focus on your safety first while doing the best they can to accommodate what we want. We made our plans before going to Nepal with Naba, the owner. He makes good suggestions in making the itinerary to suit our needs. He checks on our insurances and others to make sure we are well covered and provides what we don't have. Secondly, the guide, Bimal is an expert in his field. You can tell that he is highly experienced, he keep things in check, our well being, our equipments, our comfort, etc.. He knows places well, makes good recommendations on lodges, foods, photo spots, timetable, etc. We made sudden change in itinerary, from going to Gokyo Ri, switching to EBC trek. We decided when we were in Namche. Within the next hours, Bimal and his team in Kathmandu confirmed the new itinerary with complete new bookings of the lodges. Amazing work! TRA also sent two experienced porters, Sunil and Raj that didn't just carry bags but actually helpful along the trek. We reached the EBC on time, in-line with our plans, and we made our way down to Pheriche. Before we reached EBC, we had wanted to experience flying in a heli, so Bimal and his team quickly managed a heli for us in Pheriche, which we managed to catch before 2 days of severe bad weather. We arrived in Lukla and had to stay for 2 nights due to bad weather. Here, we could testify how well connected Third Rock Adventures is with relevant organizations and venues in this business. Not only we got to stay in one of the best hotel in Lukla, they also got us on the first flight to Kathmandu when the weather allowed. So, thank you TRA team, we surely plan our next trekking with them. Highly recommended!

Third Rock Adventures provided a customized 14 day Everest Base Camp trek starting on the road with a Jeep trip over two days from Kathmandu to Salleri and Surke, and ending with a flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu. From the outset Naba was very professional and flexible with a custom tailored itinerary, as well as accommodating changes just prior to start due to flight delays, and once the trek commenced. My guide/porter duo of Man and Dhan were excellent looking after all my needs, especially my safety throughout the journey. They knew how best to pace the trek. The office manager and staff in Kathmandu as well as the local Kathmandu hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent service overall. The trekking experience was incredible, with fantastic up close views of majestic mountains, valleys, rivers, wildlife, working animals and tremendous landscapes that have left me with lifetime of memories. The food and accommodations throughout were great. The pace was dictated thoughtfully by Man and Dhan with excellent commentary in identifying landmarks and the environment. The Nepalese people were very friendly and warm in sharing their culture. What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend the Third Rock Adventures team.

Everest Base Camp Trek – New Year 2025/26 Welcoming New Year 2026 at Everest Base Camp was an unforgettable experience and easily one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. The trek itself was challenging but incredibly fulfilling, with every step offering breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks, deep valleys, and iconic Himalayan landscapes. The trail was alive with culture and warmth. Passing through Sherpa villages like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche gave us a real sense of local life, hospitality, and Buddhist traditions. Celebrating the New Year surrounded by prayer flags, monasteries, and towering mountains felt peaceful and deeply meaningful—far from the noise and rush of city celebrations. Despite the cold temperatures, especially at higher altitudes, the teahouses were welcoming and comfortable. Reaching Everest Base Camp itself was an emotional moment. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain, reflecting on the journey and welcoming a new year, felt both humbling and inspiring. Third Rock made the experience so much easier , The guide Man made each day manageable and assisted more than expected, the porters Pasang and Nema worked tirelessly to make our experience memorable. Without their help the trek would have been so much harder. Thank you Overall, the Everest Base Camp trek during New Year 2026 was a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, cultural immersion, and personal reflection. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a truly meaningful way to start a new year.

Recently back home finishing a memorable and challenging 12 days EBC trek. Weather is quite unpredictable in the mountains and each day was different and challenging in its own way. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this amazing people who are experienced in their field. I want to take this opportunity to talk about this amazing and supportive team which accompanied our group. MAN our wonderful trek lead was very professional, helpful and informative. Our assistant guide DAN is really a strong and wonderful human being helping us all through be it during the trek or at our accommodation for any small need. Our porters EVAN, PASANGA and KUBIRDHAN were always prompt greeting us early in the morning with a warm smile, keeping an eye on each one of us and making sure to help whenever I am struggling during the trek and motivating me until I reach my destination for the day. Lastly the brain behind executing this trek and making it happen without any discomfort is NABA AMAGAI the head of THIRD ROCK ADVENTURES who treated us so warmly and patiently addressing any of our concerns. I would highly recommend this company for any of your Himalayan adventures in Nepal. They know the mountains and we can relax and enjoy each and every day of our trek with peace of mind.

Absolutely loved our trek to Gokyo lakes via EBC. Third rock were excellent in helping us get to the start of the trek safely despite poor weather preventing us leaving Kathmandu on schedule. Our guide Deepak was excellent during the trek, and even showed us around Kathmandu in the days before our trek started while we waited for better weather to allow our flight out. We felt well looked after the whole time. Would recommend.

Just wrapped up my EBC trek with Third Rock Adventures. Honestly, this team made the entire journey unforgettable. From day one, the hospitality, organisation, and support were absolutely top-notch. Everything felt smooth, safe, and well-planned, even in the most unpredictable Himalayan moments. A massive thank you to Mann, our lead guide. His calm confidence and deep experience set the tone for the whole adventure. And Dan, our second guide, was always right there. Encouraging. Checking on everyone. Making sure we were moving at the right pace. But the real heroes of this trek were our incredible porters: Pasang, Eban, and Kubir. These guys went above and beyond every single day. Carrying impossible loads with a smile. Looking out for us. Making sure we were warm, comfortable, hydrated, and safe. This trek simply wouldn’t have been the same without their dedication. They are the heart of the journey. If you’re thinking of doing EBC, I can’t recommend Third Rock Adventures enough. You don’t just get a trekking company. You get a team that feels like family, supporting you through every step and every steep climb. Forever grateful 🙏✨

Dawa was fantastic guide on my trip to base camp and Kala Patthar. He was knowledgeable, was always looking out for me and was very supportive when we needed to change plans because I had a bit of altitude sickness. Couldn’t recommend him more highly.
