This 14-day journey begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a trek through picturesque Sherpa villages such as Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche. Each day rewards you with closer views of the mighty Himalayas and insights into Sherpa traditions.
The trek’s main highlights include standing at Everest Base Camp, surrounded by towering peaks, and hiking up Kala Patthar at 5,550 meters. From here, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking sunrise and panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other giants of the Khumbu region.
Though the trek is graded moderate to difficult, with physical preparation and determination, it is achievable. The best seasons are spring and autumn, when skies are clear and mountain views at their finest. This journey offers adventure, challenge, and unforgettable memories.

Arrive in Kathmandu, where a representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Meet your trek leader and team for a detailed briefing. Use the day to check your gear, shop for essentials, or explore Thamel. We recommend arriving in the morning or daytime to rest before your early flight to Lukla tomorrow.
Fly to Lukla/Ramechhap (2,840m/9,316ft) & trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,561ft) - 35 mins flight, 3 to 4 hours (8 km) trek

Begin with a thrilling flight to Lukla, meet your crew, and start the trek. Walk through Chauri Kharka village, follow the Dudh Koshi River, and reach Phakding, a Sherpa village in the valley. En route, spot Khumbila, a sacred unclimbed peak. In the evening, explore the village or relax with a hot drink. Overnight in Phakding.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,284ft) - 6 to 7 hours (10.5 km) trek

Cross the Dudh Koshi River on suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. Enter Sagarmatha National Park and stop for lunch at Jorsale. Spend the day acclimatizing in Namche, the Sherpa capital and trading hub. Explore bakeries, shops, and the Saturday Market. Take a sunrise hike to Sagarmatha National Park for views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum, hike to Everest View Hotel, or explore Khumjung and Kunde villages to see Hillary’s school, monastery, and hospital. Overnight in Namche.
Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,860m/12,661ft) - 5 to 6 hours (10 km) trek

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) - 5 to 6 hours (8 km) trek

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep(5,140m/16,860ft) & visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft) - 7 to 8 hours (12 km) trek

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, then hike alongside the Khumbu Glacier to reach the legendary Everest Base Camp. Take in epic views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks before returning to Gorak Shep for the night.
Hike to Kala Patthar (5550m/18,204ft) and descend to Pheriche (4,240m/13,908ft) - 6 to 7 hours (12 km) trek

Trek from Namche to Lukla (2,840m/9,316ft) - 6 to 7 hours (18.5 km) trek

After breakfast, descend from Namche through local villages, crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge along the way. Reach Lukla in the afternoon and celebrate completing your Everest adventure. Enjoy your final night in the mountains. Overnight in Lukla.

Take a scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Rest or explore nearby shops for handicrafts, trinkets, and souvenirs. Visit Ason Market for spices, tea, and decorative items. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the completion of your Everest adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu. Note: During the spring and autumn seasons, most flights operate from Ramechhap Airport, as Tribhuvan International Airport cannot handle the high volume of domestic flights during peak season.

This is your final day in Nepal. A representative will transfer you to the airport three hours before your scheduled flight for departure.

5.00Recently back home finishing a memorable and challenging 12 days EBC trek. Weather is quite unpredictable in the mountains and each day was different and challenging in its own way. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this amazing people who are experienced in their field. I want to take this opportunity to talk about this amazing and supportive team which accompanied our group. MAN our wonderful trek lead was very professional, helpful and informative. Our assistant guide DAN is really a strong and wonderful human being helping us all through be it during the trek or at our accommodation for any small need. Our porters EVAN, PASANGA and KUBIRDHAN were always prompt greeting us early in the morning with a warm smile, keeping an eye on each one of us and making sure to help whenever I am struggling during the trek and motivating me until I reach my destination for the day. Lastly the brain behind executing this trek and making it happen without any discomfort is NABA AMAGAI the head of THIRD ROCK ADVENTURES who treated us so warmly and patiently addressing any of our concerns. I would highly recommend this company for any of your Himalayan adventures in Nepal. They know the mountains and we can relax and enjoy each and every day of our trek with peace of mind.

5.00i had a great experience with my guide Gnawang and my porter Somdey. both were very knowledgeable and very funny! Gnawang is a class act and always went out of his way to be polite and help me. he was also extremely smart and had answers for all my questions. overall, a wonderful experience!!!

5.00Absolutely loved our trek to Gokyo lakes via EBC. Third rock were excellent in helping us get to the start of the trek safely despite poor weather preventing us leaving Kathmandu on schedule. Our guide Deepak was excellent during the trek, and even showed us around Kathmandu in the days before our trek started while we waited for better weather to allow our flight out. We felt well looked after the whole time. Would recommend.

5.00Just wrapped up my EBC trek with Third Rock Adventures. Honestly, this team made the entire journey unforgettable. From day one, the hospitality, organisation, and support were absolutely top-notch. Everything felt smooth, safe, and well-planned, even in the most unpredictable Himalayan moments. A massive thank you to Mann, our lead guide. His calm confidence and deep experience set the tone for the whole adventure. And Dan, our second guide, was always right there. Encouraging. Checking on everyone. Making sure we were moving at the right pace. But the real heroes of this trek were our incredible porters: Pasang, Eban, and Kubir. These guys went above and beyond every single day. Carrying impossible loads with a smile. Looking out for us. Making sure we were warm, comfortable, hydrated, and safe. This trek simply wouldn’t have been the same without their dedication. They are the heart of the journey. If you’re thinking of doing EBC, I can’t recommend Third Rock Adventures enough. What I loved the most is the way Third Rock Adventure as a company handled the entire process- communication before the trip started right through the end , airport pickup drop, accommodations, food was handled very smoothly . Our guide Man and assistant guide Dhan Kumar were professional and very knowledgeable. They genuinely cared about our safety and comfort .Both are very funny and entertaining. They have shared us Sherpa culture and mountian life which made our journey meaningful. Our porter team was very hardworking and their smile motivated us on the days when the trek was challenging. 5.00I found Third Rock to be an excellent company. The itinerary was very well put together and communication was clear from Naba at all times. He clearly answered all my questions I had prior to the trip and was extremely fast in response throughout the trek. They helped a lot with sourcing any additional items I needed in Kathmandu prior to the trek starting. My guide Ngawang was very experienced, friendly and was a great help throughout the trek. Being just me the guide and the porter the trek was also flexible and Ngawang adapted the route based on how I was feeling. Naba was very hospitable after the trek as I had a few days extra in Kathmandu and joined me and some other trekkers for a delicious dinner. Thoroughly recommend Third Rock and will be sure to use them for any future treks in Nepal and surrounding areas.

5.00We booked as from recommendation from two different friends. The booking process through to the end was seamless. Very professional and they go the extra mile. Even though we packed well you sometimes sent things with the porters and not kept on you and our guides always came with a smiles saying they had some. The stories/history with our guides were the most rememberable. We knew where we were at for every step Of the trip. Rishi and Naba where we first met them we felt like we were already friends.
