I had absolutely beautiful off-season trek with Nepal Hiking Team in February!! Weather was amazing and I felt super supported, safe and cared about surina the whole trek, starting for a pick up from Kathmandu Airport. My guide Suraj is really the best guide with good sense of humour and always looking after me, and porter Pemba big hearted and the kindest person. I was travelling solo and due the off season I was the only one in the group, but really felt we did the trek as a group of tree. Smaller group can make the memories even more unforgettable! All arrangements were really smooth and answers to all my questions were fast and clear. Would recommend this trek to anyone, and I would do it again ofcourse with Nepal Hiking Team!

Nepal Hiking Team’s professionalism blew me away from my first inquiry. They helped me set expectations and prepare for the base camp experience in the weeks leading up to the trip. My guide Nedra and porter Nima did everything they could to make me comfortable and ensure safety during this trek. I highly recommend this group - thanks Nepal Hiking Team for showing me your beautiful country and leaving me with fond lasting memories.

It was great, we were well taken care of. Everyone in my group managed to reach base camp. It's good that we do not have to worry about directions, food, accomodation and flight to Lukla as everything is arranged for us. I'm happy that we were always the first flight going to and from Lukla. It was a memorable trip and I made friends with other solo travellers like me.

The Nepal Hiking Team Everest Base Camp trek was amazing! I would definitely recommend them to anyone traveling in the area. I emailed NHT a few times before booking with questions, and they answered really quickly and it was helpful in my preparation. Every aspect of the trek was well planned, from picking me up at the airport to sharing overviews of the trip to the daily action the trek. Our daily hikes were set up to give us time to acclimitize, and have time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Every night, our guide Dhurba shared a briefing for the next day so we would be prepared. The food and accommodations were great throughout the trip. If you want to visit the region and go to Everest Base Camp, this is a perfect tour company!

  • Successful and Rewarding Everest Base Camp trek!

The amazing mountain and river valley scenery made an enjoyable hike. This time of year had no crowds, so we were able to really take in the peaceful sights and sounds of our surroundings. The trek begins after the flight to Lukla and winds up the river valley to the Khumbu Glacier and EBC. Along the way we encountered sights of mountain goats perched high in the hills, a lone deer walking through the woods, yaks grazing in open fields, and countless teams of donkey and jaku (sp?), a yak & cow hybrid, carrying needed supplies to the villages along the route. The Nepal Hiking Team was excellent from start to finish, with each step of our journey coordinated and well communicated so we knew what to expect each day. Poban, our trip Guide, quickly became our friend and ensured we were successful and enjoying our journey, even when terrain or altitude took their toll on us. He would frequently stop to point out the various mountain summits, animals, and details of the many small villages we passed through. It was more than just getting to EBC, it was the cultural learning experience along they way that made all the difference. Our eleven day trek included two acclimatization days that helped with altitude. Our group of four family members hiked together with our guide Poban and two porters, Deepak and Praveen. Our porters always had a smile on their faces and we appreciated every step they took! There were other groups of from Nepal Hiking Team and other tour agencies that we met each day for lunch or at night in the teahouses, but they all moved independently at various paces. Lastly, before our trek even began, we had the opportunity to tour Kathmandu with a different guide from Nepal Hiking Team. This was a half-day tour with a stop for lunch that included all the major landmarks of the city....again adding to the cultural learning and experience of our trip! Highly recommend.

  • Do it off-season, it's worth it

We had an amazing off-season experience in December with Vishma and Bipeen on the longer EBC trekk. The air was thin, the nights were cold but it was all worth it for the stunning views and empty trail. I would not do it any other way now. The accomodations were great, expected a lot worse knowing the conditions and food included was plenty with a nice fruit dessert that always caught us by suprise after dinner. During the trekk Vishma took care of every concern that arose and he was very flexible and adaptable with our slower schedule. The organisation was completely seamless and professional, even in the Woodapple hotel. The hotel staff and Nepal Hiking Team was very flexible with the transports to the airport and with the booked days after the trekk,

  • Outstanding experience trekking December-January

I completed the Mount Everest Base Camp trek in December-January, and it was an incredible experience, made even better by an outstanding team. Our main guide, Netra, was excellent. Trekking in winter meant very cold conditions, and the altitude and some altitude sickness hit hard at times. Netra always gave the right advice and kept everyone safe and motivated. Our porters worked incredibly hard, and our second guide/ porter Ayyus also did a fantastic job. Even in hardest and coldest times Netra showed great leadership managing everything smoothly. Thanks to the team, all four of us reached Everest Base Camp! Highly recommended!

First time in Nepal and decided to do the EBC trek with Nepal Hiking Team and it was the best decision I've made. Before booking the trip, they are very responsive to all my enquiries so I can make the booking with peace of mind. When the trip started, everything was very well taken care of, from airport transfer, trekking itinerary, food, accommodation to trekking safety, everything was done so well so that I can enjoy the entire trekking trip without having to worry about anything. A special shout-out to our guide Netra and assistant guide Aayush and all the porters for taking care of all our needs during the trek and ensuring all our safety, and successfully making it to EBC without any issues. If you are looking for a trekking company to bring you to EBC, Nepal Hiking Team is the company to do it!

  • Everest Base Camp Trek - Nov 2025

The Everest Base Camp trek was unlike anything else. Challenging yet very rewarding. I went during November and the weather was great. The day was nice but the nights were cold. I loved working with Nepal Hiking Team to make this happen. So much thanks to our lead guide Deepak Dhakal and our 2 assistant guides Manu and Prem. Managing a group of 10, they always ensured we were safe, taken care of, and having fun. They made this trek a one of a kind and special experience. I highly recommend the EBC trek, Nepal Hiking Team, and most importantly our guides that made this possible.
