What To Expect
Galleria Borghese
The Galleria Borghese is where you can find priceless masterpieces of 1st-3rd centuries, Follow our passionate guide who will show you the most fascinating and brilliant Artworks and bringing to life all the stories and events behind this structure. The main floor is mostly devoted to classical antiquities (including a famous 320–30 AD mosaic of gladiators found on the Borghese estate at Torrenova, on the Via Casilina outside Rome, in 1834), and classical and neo-classical sculpture such as the Venus Victrix. Its decorative scheme includes a trompe l'oeil ceiling fresco in the first room, or Salone, by the Sicilian artist Mariano Rossi makes such good use of foreshortening that it appears almost three-dimensional.

5.00Best tour guide ever. Frederico of crown tours was awesome. Great insights, very knowledgeable, easy to understand. The Borghese is a must see attraction that is not on everyone's radar, but should be.

4.00Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful, he was very knowledgeable and clear with his explanations. I would not recommend choosing the 5:30 option though. We had 1 hour to go through 20 rooms. Our tour guide did his best to hit the highlights of each room in the allotted time, but I would have enjoyed a lengthier time to really appreciate the artwork. I will choose an earlier time slot next visit.
