What To Expect
Galleria Borghese
The Galleria Borghese is where you can find priceless masterpieces of 1st-3rd centuries, Follow our passionate guide who will show you the most fascinating and brilliant Artworks and bringing to life all the stories and events behind this structure. The main floor is mostly devoted to classical antiquities (including a famous 320–30 AD mosaic of gladiators found on the Borghese estate at Torrenova, on the Via Casilina outside Rome, in 1834), and classical and neo-classical sculpture such as the Venus Victrix. Its decorative scheme includes a trompe l'oeil ceiling fresco in the first room, or Salone, by the Sicilian artist Mariano Rossi makes such good use of foreshortening that it appears almost three-dimensional.

5.00Better for adults than kids, but mine loved the grounds and area around the museum too. Timed so be sure you are on time to make the most of your reservation. Gorgeous art and unforgettable sculptures. Just SO SO MANY to take in!

3.00The villa had stunning art work and was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. We met the 'guide' who gave us our printed tickets and checked we'd downloaded the app guide, and we sent off. The app was next to useless. No need to book this tour you can do it independently and no doubt much cheaper. We were expecting a tour guide with at least some commentary on the art work. Do not book this, just go independently or book a VIP tour with a speaking guide giving commentary.

5.00Victoria showed us several surprises and secrets, like sculptures with unbuttoned jackets and unfinished arms and fingers. The Caravaggio Madonna with Santa Anna was one favourite with an illuminating history. The visit tok 2 hours.

5.00Great tour! The tour guide (I’m sorry, I forgot his name!) was amazing and so knowledgeable. It’s great to have someone as passionate as he was about art explain things to someone who doesn’t know art. It was easy to find the meeting spot and check in. Would definitely book this again!

5.00Excellent tour even though there was a large number of people in our group. Francesca was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable, greatly educated in the fine arts! She was friendly and helpful and willing to answer questions. While we didn’t tour every single item, we got to see the gallery’s highlights and then some! Highly recommend this tour!!
