My top priority is to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip experience for every traveler. My vast experience gained from my extensive background in the hotel industry, specifically in guest services, has provided me with a deep understanding of the desires and requirements of customers from all walks of life.

Avoid the confusion and inconvenience of navigating various transportation options that can often bewilder our esteemed visitors. Through careful planning, I have meticulously crafted this tour to cater to those who wish to make the most of their limited time. Our itinerary encompasses the top tourist attractions in Kyoto, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive experience. While the schedule may seem packed, I recommend a combination of train and taxi rides instead of crowded buses to maintain energy levels and prevent foot fatigue.

We can customize the tour to suit your requirements. Together, we will create remarkable and unforgettable memories during your journey in Kyoto.

Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine

Fushimi Inari is famous for its iconic thousand torii gates leading to Mt Inari. Fushimi Inari is an ancient shinto shrine dedicated to Inari, the shinto god of rice. There are many foxes across the shrine grounds as foxes are thought to be Inari's messengers. It takes about 2 hours to hike to the top which is about 4 kilometers long but we will just hike half of it.

  • Exciting Overnight Trip to Kyoto

We were arriving by cruise ship for an overnight stay in Osaka. We had visited Osaka by cruise ship before and wanted to visit Kyoto and Nara. Due to mobility issues we wanted a private guide and to minimize long walks from busses. We found this tour on Viator to be the closest match to our requests. We originally booked a single day but given the long list of desired sites decided we needed two days. Diego recommended an overnight stay in Kyoto to maximize our touring time and helped us get a hotel room at a cheap rate. The main sites are spread out across the city and it takes quite a while to travel. We used a combination of train and taxis to get around. The only site we missed was the Arashiyama/Bamboo Forest but we were ok with that due to the time it would take to include it and the large crowds that would certainly be there. Plus we saw the small bamboo forest at Kōdaiji Temple. Overall summary: Day 1: Redeemed Rail Pass Voucher Fushimi Inari Shrine Nishki Market (lunch) Yasui Kompiragū Shrine Kiyomizu-dera Temple Ninenzaka/Sannenzaka Yasaka Pagoda Kōdaiji Temple Pontocho Alley (Dinner) Day 2: Nijo Castle Kinkako-ji Temple Conveyer belt Restaurant (lunch) Tōdai-ji Temple (Nara) Overall, a great experience!

Diego was extremely careful about our needs, he was very open to hear what we wanted to visit and to adjust the itinerary based on our preferences. I totally recommend Diego for future trips and take the opportunity to thank him again for the wonderful time we had together with him and my son!
