1. This is the entrance to the DMZ trip. There is a ticket office for the DMZ shuttle bus tour in this place. While waiting for the DMZ tour after buying the tickets, you can explore the following places. (1) DMZ Train : This train is shot more than 1000 rounds of bullets during Korean war. You can check the how the bullets and bombs can tear the metal. (2) The Feedom Bridge : After Korean War, South Korea and North Korea exchanged the prisoners on this bridge (3) The Unification Alter : Koreans conduct ceremonies for the unification on this alter on the special days like the Thanksgiving Day and New Year. (4) The Memorial Hall for the Kidnapped Family to North Korea : By going through the history fo the Kidnapped Family, you will learn about the war in so many details (5) Cafe : You can just relax yourself in the cafe before the trip 2. The first place you will go through on the DMZ trip will be an MP(Military Police) Line. They will check your ID from your Passport.
The Third Tunnel
This is the third infiltration tunnel North Koreans made in order to send their soldiers directly to South Korea for the invasion. If South Korea couldnot find this tunnel before they complete building the tunnel, they could directly send 30,000 soldiers to South Korea in 1 hour. You will feel how much they were so eager to attack Sounth Korea while you walk inside the tunnel
DMZ with the authentic nature: This DMZ is less touristy than Paju. You will enjoy the beauty of Korean nature with the watherfall and a suspension bridge.

Andrew was a great tour guide. We went in a group of 11 and he was friendly, thoughtful and accomodating. He provided an insightful background to the history of the DMZ in fluent English and told us touching stories along the way, one which made my wife and I teary-eyed. He rushed us along at times when needed to keep us on time and also gave us options to choose from as our group wanted to change plans with the change in weather. We always felt safe and looked after. Thanks Andrew!

Our group of 11 had a wonderful time with Andrew as our private tour guide. He was super accommodating and booked a very clean & comfortable van for our transport. He is a wealth of information in regards to Korean history & culture. Our itinerary initially included a suspension bridge but due to the wet weather we were concerned about the safety of doing this and he gave us three alternative options to choose from. We ended up going to the National Museum of Korea which is a beautiful building & housed many treasures (didn’t get to fully explore it but it had several exhibits to explore). He also gave us several options for lunch & we ended up having a very yummy traditional Korean meal. I would recommend his services to anyone wanting to do a DMZ or other themed tour in Korea with him. 😀

Tour Guide Andrew delivers an experience that feels truly memorable. Thoughtful, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable, he knows exactly how to tailor the tour with just the right balance of storytelling and detail. Our DMZ tour in Korea was unforgettable thanks to his expertise and his unique way of bringing history to life. With his large tablet on hand, Andrew seamlessly enriches the experience by showing historical photos, videos, and insider insights you won’t find in a typical guidebook. He doesn’t just guide you—he immerses you in the story, making every stop more meaningful and memorable.

Andrew took our group of 11 friends to the DMZ and a traditional tofu lunch. Due to rain, we couldn’t go to the suspension bridge as originally planned, but he provided us with many alternative options and we ended up going to the National Museum of Korea and had a great time. Andrew was punctual, organized, friendly, and we learned so much about Korean history.

Our private guide Andrew was very knowledgeable about Korean history which helped seeing all the sites including the DMZ. He found us a great lunch spot at an eel farm - delish! Highly recommend Andrew for a private tour!

I had visited the Imjingak DMZ before, but it felt overcrowded and rushed. The Cheorwon DMZ, on the other hand, offered a much calmer and more meaningful experience — especially at the 2nd Tunnel. Our guide, Andrew, made all the difference. He was kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about North Korea, the DMZ, and the Korean War. I learned so much from him and thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. Highly recommended!

It was a historically significant and memorable place, surrounded by authentic Korean rice field scenery. Compared to the 3rd Tunnel, the Second Infiltration Tunnel felt much more realistic and immersive and was not quite crowded. Overall, it was a perfect trip.
