We spent my husband's birthday at Stonehenge for the early morning tour, followed by a visit to Windsor Castle and some shopping in the town. It was a perfect day. Don't worry about the early morning start, as the bus is super comfortable and you get about a 90 minute nap along the way to Stonehenge. Our guide, Jody, was excellent and super helpful with all of her London knowledge. You won't regret choosing this tour!

Amazing experience. Stonehenge at dawn was all that is hoped it would be. After snoozing through a two-hour bus ride we walked through a short way to have Stonehenge appear out of a dense mist. The fog burned off as we first heard a history of this ancient monolith and then the sun appeared on the horizon creating a gorgeous backdrop as we explored the stones. Windsor was also impressive; the guide provided a brief bit thorough history as we arrived and though the castle was quite crowded the Thursday before Easter, she ensured we were able to enter and begin our tour (with audiotour provided) expeditiously. Honestly though, it just couldn't compare to the grandeur of Stonehenge at dawn. The experience was well worth the painfully early start to our day (we had to link up at 4 a.m. fit the bus departing London at 4:15).
