National Museum of Ethiopia
You will start your city tour of Addis Ababa with the National Museum of Ethiopia. This is one of the best museums in quality and diversity of the exhibits. Archeological exhibits include the 3.5 million-year-old fossil of Lucy (or Dinkinesh – ‘thou art wonderful’- in the native language), a hominoid woman of the species of Australopithecus Afarensis. The discovery of Lucy’s fossil in 1974 forced a complete rethink of human genealogy, providing that our ancestors were walking 2.5 million years earlier than had been supposed. The National Museum also contains many wonderful artifacts dating back to pre-Axumite civilization.
Holy Trinity Cathedral
It is the most important church in Ethiopia in this church there is a mausoleum of the last emperor of Ethiopia “Haile Selassie “ and his wife also Buried there you will also a chance to attend religious Ceremonies at the same time

I have a slightly funny story with Eyob - we first connected online about a year and a half ago, and only now I finally made it to Addis Ababa. And… it was absolutely the right call. Eyob is an outstanding guy who genuinely knows and loves his country. He goes out of his way to make things work for you - suggesting itineraries, helping with accommodation, and structuring your time so efficiently that you’re back at the airport two hours before departure, while still exploring the surroundings just a few hours earlier. He puts in real effort. He knows what’s worth seeing and what can be skipped. Conversations with him are easy and engaging, and at the same time he adds just enough context and facts so you actually understand what’s happening around you. One of the best fixers I’ve worked with and traveled with. Thanks to him, I regret only one thing - that my time in Ethiopia was so short. And also thanks to him, I know I’ll be back. And you know what? I already know who my guide will be next time.

I had a great experience with Eyob Tesfaye during my city tour in Addis Ababa. He’s a really cool and easygoing person, which made the whole day enjoyable. What I liked the most is that he actually studied tourism and history, so he really knows what he’s talking about. I’m honestly not a big fan of museums or history, but he made it interesting and fun. The way he explains things and tells stories keeps you engaged and not bored at all. Because of him, I actually enjoyed visiting the Ethiopian Museum, which I didn’t expect. I definitely recommend Eyob if you’re visiting Addis Ababa. You’ll have a great time and learn a lot without even realizing it.

The trip to northern Ethiopia left many good memories, and while the small volcano collapsed with some disappointment and no red flaming lava could be seen, landscapes such as the volcanic Sulphur Lake Saline were spectacular. The cliff church is beautiful and worth a visit. As for Laribella, spectacular, especially on Sundays or when ceremonies are held, but there will be a lot of kids asking for money.

Had a wonderful day trip with Eyob and what more could I say about his knowledge of not just Addis Ababa but of Ethiopia in general - the history, the people, the development, its geography, current affairs, and so much more. He is able to answer a multitude of questions across various topics and does so with the patience to afford the desired understanding. He comes highly recommended.

I took 3 tours Simien mountain trekking, Adadi Mariam/Tiya, and Tigrey churchs. Everything was well arranged and communication was quite efficiently. My driver was super nice and thoughtful person. I truely enjoyed my Ethiopia trip and had very good time. There are lots of things can do in Ethiopia but visa only allow me to stay 30 days. Recommended to contac Eyob if you would like to visit Ethiopia. btw, no hidden fee expect tips for drivers and guides.

Eyob is an excellent cultural and tour guide in all things pertaining to Addis. My tour consisted of the Ethnological museum which was formerly the living quarters of Emperor Haile Selassie. The museum itself has a wealth of history and culture, but Eyob went into even greater detail to explain the rich history and back stories. Afterwards he made a special stop just so I could take a breathtaking photo from an embankment that over looks Addis. We had a traditional Ethiopian meal that was amazing. I was in need of luggage and Eyob took the time to take me luggage shopping during one of the busiest days in Addis on Saturday when everyone goes to the market. If you book with Eyob you will not be disappointed. He’s kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and courteous. As a solo female traveler these qualities and traits are vital. Book with Eyob and you will be well taken care of. Thanks again Eyob
