I’m not a huge wine drinker so this was a great way to dip my toe in the water and experience Barossa valley. Hahndorf was also a good experience. It doesn’t require a long visit so bundling it with the Barossa was great.

Had a great day with a good variety of places visited. Highlights were Hahndorf and the Kies winery where we tasted a variety of different wines. Would have like to spend longer here rather than going to a second winery which was not as good.

I did this trip on 29 Dec 2025. It is a full day trip. In the morning, I have the chance to tour around Hahndorf, which is a typical German town/ village. In the afternoon, I have done wine tastings at two wineries, one of which is also the restaurant. Other places including a strawberry farm, chocolate factory and Maggie Beer’s farm produce.
