What To Expect
Balloon Team Tuscany
You will receive the meeting point in the afternoon before your flight, or you can request a pick-up service, we will take you to the hotel, make sure you reserve it, this is not included. The Meeting poin is very close, about 20 minute from Florence, nea San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the heart of the Chiati Valley. After being greeted by your captain and crews, you will receive a safety briefing before taking off. If you wish, you can help with aeration of the balloon before getting into the basket for your flight. The flight will last circ an hour, you will then be able to savor the excitement while you get up and stand gently up and over the Tuscan countryside. You will sail at a height varying from 500 feet to 3000 feet, depending on the wind of that day. All this will allow you to admire the breathtaking landscape of Tuscany. You'll see gentle hills dotted with pretty Italian villages, cypress trees, dominant castles and abundant vineyards, olive groves and orchards. You will see all that nature will want to show you. It will be a real adventure. Upon landing, we will toast this experience with a glass of sparkling wine! You will then be taken back to the launch site, or if you have reserved the pick-up service, you will enjoy a comfortable transfer to the hotel. You can reserve the transfer service even the day before if you have not yet decided.

5.00This was the first hot air balloon ride for both me and my wife. Our pilot Tommaso was amazing! He made sure to make us all feel safe and comfortable, had full control of the balloon at all times, and even raised and lowered the balloon multiple times so we could follow the terrain more closely through valleys and over hills. It was a bucket list item for both of us and we can’t recommend this company (and the area) any more. They were spectacular.

4.00This was a very exciting experience. Seeing the balloons inflate them climbing aboard was fun. I’m giving 4 stars because the company packed too many people in The basket, I could hardly turn around not allowing me to see all sides of the landscape. Also, there was very little wind so we basically saw the same scenery for 40 minutes. I would have rather the company communicate to me the ride would be less extensive to give me option to cancel or not. They didn’t. It was a unique experience but not as great as I had hoped especially for the large price tag. It was not communicated that at end of the ride, we would spend about 45 min waiting for the crew to load the balloon basket & wait for the crew. We didn’t get back to original take off site until 9:25 am. We took off at 7:45 am. The very small breakfast was mostly bread, little cheese & few meats. It was ok, nothing special. I’m hesitant to recommend this ride simple because expectations were high.

5.00A wonderful and peaceful hot air balloonride in the misty morning, with the most proffesionel crew and pilots. The flight was tricky for the pilots, but they did an amazing job and showed us views from the misty valley to the top of the mountains with San Cassiano, It was a dream come true.

5.00We had the most amazing experience right from when we were collected at our hotel. Our pilot was super experienced and we had a very smooth and informed ride. The breakfast afterwards was also amazing with all the local food on offer. Definitely a must do!!

5.00When our reservation with another hot air balloon company was cancelled at the last minute, I reached out to Mongollfiere Italia (Hit Air Balloon Italy) who were able to get us in on two days notice. I am so glad we did! From the multiple email communications with Renato, to our extremely punctual driver who picked us up from our hotel, to the amazing and professional crew, and particularly our extremely reassuring and experienced pilot Ally from England, I had no doubt we were in safe hands! We had speedy winds that blew us 20 kilometers in an hour, and our crew drew 60 km to meet us where we would land. I could hear Ally constantly checking and rechecking our location, wind speed, potentially tail landing sites and hazards, and communicating with the other balloons in our group as we travelled. She also brought us in low for beautiful pictures and high to clear the hills and vineyards. I learned that Ally has piloted balloons in 115 countries over 20 years! This was a first time ballooning experience for me, my spouse and my two sons and it was worth every penny. I highly recommend Mongolfiore Italia! (BTW Balloon Team Italia is a group of 3 small companies working together under the umbrella of one big company - I think the 2nd one is Ballon Tuscany and I don’t know the 3rd one)
