Meet your guide and driver in the morning to journey from Hanoi to Ninh Binh Province, often referred to as "Halong Bay on land." After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, arrive in Gia Vien District and switch to bicycles for a short ride through paddy fields to the Van Long reservoir area. Stop at Mai Trung hamlet for an immersive experience in local rice farming. Cycle to a local family home for a cooking demonstration and lunch, accompanied by Vietnamese rice wine. Afterward, enjoy activities like chess and conversation before heading to Van Long wharf for a boat trip in the reservoir.
