One husky per guest (1:1)
Each participant is paired with their own husky for the full experience. This allows real teamwork and a genuine connection.
Small groups
This is a small-group experience, designed to feel personal and relaxed. You’ll have time with your husky, space on the trail, and individual guidance throughout.
Exploring on foot
You will actively walk or snowshoe with your husky. This creates a slower, more immersive way to experience the Arctic landscape.
Hands-on insight into husky life
The dogs you walk are in training. You’ll learn how they’re raised, trained, and cared for, directly from the owners who live and work with them.
Nature focused
The focus is on quiet forest and fell trails. Routes are chosen based on conditions, weather, and the group, allowing for a more authentic wilderness experience.
Ethical, welfare led approach
Dog welfare comes first: small numbers, appropriate distances, regular breaks, and work suited to each dog’s age and development.
Service animals allowed
Suitable for all physical fitness levels

Walk the wild trails of Arctic Lapland, 1:1 with your own husky, on a small-group experience based around Äkäslompolo & Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park. This hands-on tour offers a slower, more meaningful approach, with time to connect with both the dogs and the landscape. After a warm welcome in Äkäslompolo, you’ll meet our small family of Alaskan huskies, all in training to become future sport and running dogs. Each guest is paired 1:1 with their own husky. Before setting off, we introduce handling, walking, and teamwork using a waist harness, with your husky walking in front and pulling. You’ll then head out on a 2–5 km guided walk or snowshoe, following forest trails around Äkäslompolo & Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park. Autumn: forest paths, golden colours, open fell views Winter: snowy trails, Arctic silence, frozen wilderness The pace is relaxed, with regular stops for photos and rest. Along the way, we share insights into daily life with sport dogs, training, care, and what it’s like to raise a team in Arctic Lapland. The experience is active but accessible, focused on connection rather than speed.
