This is a very good tour to explore the local life. Our guide Tha is very knowledgeable and speaks very good English. He took us to many authentic places and explained all the details. We covered everything to see in Battambang in one day and had a great time!

The tour was very good. Hit all of the best spots and had good variety of scenery, culture, and fun. If you go I highly recommend you ask for Tha. He grew up in Battambang and was one of the best guides we have ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area, spoke great English, and we had so many interesting conversations with him throughout the day. He took us to his favorite places which he said were the best in town for the rice paper and sticky rice bamboo snacks. Let me tell you they were. We’ve only had three of the bamboo snacks but these were the best. The rice paper was used to make summer and spring rolls for lunch/snack. We have traveled a lot and eat Aisian at home quite often and the wife and I both agreed these were the best spring and summer rolls we have ever had. Tha stopped several times to say hi to people out in the villages he hadn’t seen in a while and we got to chat with them also. The best part I think was Tha’s dedication to the community. He carried pencils, pens, and small notebooks with him and when he saw a group of kids in a village he would ask if they needed any of those items for school and if they didn’t he would give them some. Such a great guide, man, and community member. Highly recommend the tour no matter the guide but Tha is a hidden gem.

Our guide Tha was wonderful. Explaining to us the history of Battambang as well as taking such good care of us on our trip. We had so much fun on the bamboo train & it was our first time seeing thousands of bats fly out of a cave. Worth to come visit Battambang.

Our tour was nothing short of spectacular! Bun was punctual to pick us up from our accomodation with a smile, he then took us on an educational tour of the organic fresh local market, explaining what we were seeing and showing us the sights. The information he gave through the Buddhist temple, torture house museum and well of shadows was unmatched! He spoke clearly, and answered all our questions - he knew everything about plants, history, local knowledge and culture! Talking about his life and stories about his family was a personal highlight, as well as assisting/organising a seperate Tuktuk back to our accomodation when one of our friends were feeling unwell. If you’re looking for an opportunity to gain local knowledge and see all the sights and experiences Battambang has to offer, Bun is your guy! Love you Bun! :)

We have had a fantastic day on this tour that took in everything from local markets, making rice paper sampling fruits and spring rolls with a tasting session of rice wine to riding the bamboo train and finally the killing cave and bat cave. The day was so varied and show cased the natural beauty of this country along with the history of its tragic recent past. It was humbling, awe inspiring, sad and joyful all rolled into one. The people of Cambodia make this a truly special place. We were exceptionally well looked after by Tha who shared his own story and insight and it was lovely to get the opportunity to spend the day with him. I’d heartily recommend this tour it’s not to be missed and the natural beauty of the bats at the end was just the icing on the cake.

The variation in this tour is amazing, From the visit to the local market to the killing field exhibition it takes you on a journey which helps you understand and appreciate this beautiful country and its people. The tour was beautifully brought together by Tha who guided us through the different aspects of the day. To finish at the Bat Cave was a great way to conclude our day.

SUPER COMPLETE experience. Bun has made us live a great day in which, in addition, we have felt fully integrated in Battambang. You start by visiting the market, then take your tuktuk all over town (especially to meet local businesses and families). Try the rice cooked inside the bamboo cane, the rolls with fresh rice paper, the “dry banana”. We continue with the bamboo train (an amazing experience!) and end with the caves of the murders of Pol Por and that of the bats. Awesome day

Fantastic day trip with Bun! We started at 9 at our hotel and spent the whole day in and around Battambang; starting with a local market, a large temple, some local craftmanship, but also a temple which was converted into a prison and torture / killing field during the KhmerRouge times. In the afternoon we went to the Bamboo train, killing cave and bat cave. Bun is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, takes the time and is happy to give you more time for a sighting or skip one. All in all, a perfect day - we usually rent a scooter and drive around through the farmlands ourselves but then we would have missed the majority of the details Bun was able to share with us. So this tour is the perfect way to see the area, especially if you have only 1 day in the area
