5.00I enjoyed my day in Dakar and Goree Island. I received insightful perspectives and history regarding the western part of Africa known as Senegal. I had a delicious meal and great company throughout the day with my host Abdoulaye and driver Seru who got us around with no problem. I would highly recommend the tour for a full day!

5.00Our guide, Pope, is an excellent popularizer and a wealth of knowledge about the region, history and people. He makes the experience not only rewarding, but very comfortable: water offered regularly, tickets bought in advance to avoid the lines, rigorous time management (and his patience with the fact that I am quite moody 😅). The visit to Gorée is necessary but emotional... Dakar is fast, but allows us to find our way around later. Thank you also to the driver for this visit without difficulty! I recommend 😁

5.00It's highly educative and informative, the guide Abulaye was quite knowledgeable and polite, the visit to Goree Island helped us understand the brutal history and the inhuman slave trade, we could explore the island leisurely and also visited all the places of interest, a must visit for everyone to feel the agony of people from this area, as it's a bit hot and humid,it is better to carry a bottle of water and wear a hat. After visiting the island, we went for city tour and visited the Monument of the African Renaissance, Mosque of Divinity (from a distance) and other important places.

5.00Abdoulaye gave an amazing tour of Dakar and Goree Island. I would definitely recommend him for any English speakers. As an African American visiting the continent of Africa for the first time, this was everything I could have wanted and more. I feel so much more connected to my West African roots. Booking this tour will give you a memorable experience and an insight of Senegal’s great history, culture, and people.

5.00Just wanted to say how wonderful and amazing Pape was!!! So glad he was my guide!! His English is perfect and he knew how to guide us through Goreé Island perfectly, missing the larger tour groups! He always brought us water and made sure we stayed hydrated! Highly recommend him for your tour!!
