A big heartfelt thank you to our guide Lamine and the driver who picked us up from our hotel and showed us around the city and the island of Gorée. We highly suggest them if you want to be serene and discover the key points of history and the city, while skipping the crowds! Lamine took great care of us and we felt like vip’s as it was just me and my companion that day. He is a well mannered and cultivated person with lots of stories and good sense of humour, easy to talk to and loved by many people as we witnessed wherever we’ve been to!

This experience was amazing! Lamine knew so much history and was so engaging. He also knew the right places to prioritize to experience the Maison de Esclaves with as few other tourists as possible. We did have to ask to go to the mosque at the end, so just be mindful of what’s included & make a request if you must. But otherwise, we absolutely loved this tour & would recommend.

Our guide Pape made this an unforgettable experience. His deep knowledge, attentiveness and excellent time management stood out throughout the tour. The storytelling was engaging and he was incredibly patient with everyone. The day was very well planned so we avoided queues and crowds. Highly recommended!!!!

Being in Senegal for the first time, I did not know what to expect. However, Pape brought our trip alive with his excellent knowledge about Senegal specifically Goree Island, and other main attractions in the Dakar. I will definitely recommend him as a tour guide in the future to friends and also if I should come back to Senegal, I will definitely request him.

The island is one of Senegal's highlights. In addition, slave prison is a unique feeling and moving. The rest of the island can be explored on foot. One of the most beautiful spots in the country.
