As locals who love to eat, we've learned that Edinburgh has a huge amount of diversity to offer on the culinary front beyond just traditional dishes - we want to show it to you!
I (William) will be hosting you. I want to share my passion for eating in Edinburgh by showcasing hidden gems in the food industry while supporting local family businesses.
We've handpicked each dish based on personal favourites, while taking in mind the history and heritage of each location. We've spent the last year researching the tour, visiting our favourite locations and getting to know the owners and their stories.
There are a lot of hidden gems in Edinburgh that people don't know about and we've included dishes you wouldn't expect to eat in Scotland.
On this tour you'll be away from the tourist traps, with changing locations and dishes based on what's available in the city on that day.
Once we come to an end, we'll provide personal recommendations to help you make the most of your vacation!

As an Edinburgh local I was surprised and excited to be taken to so many places I’ve never been to before! Loved the backstory that Will supplied for every small business we went to - it’s clear he has a great relationship with all of them. We had so much fun, and left stuffed with delicious food.

Had a lovely time at the tour - Every place we went was amazing and had something mouth-watering to try! I definitely recommend this tour when you're in Edinburgh. Will (host) is the best company to take you around.

We recently went on this tour with a couple friends while visiting Edinburgh for Fringe, and I can't recommend it enough. All of the food was delicious, and the places we stopped were small businesses that deeply cared about the quality of the food they were serving. The focus was on Asian food, but the tour also included a bit of traditional Scottish cuisine. It was great to explore an area of Edinburgh that we otherwise may not have seen. But the best thing about the tour were the guides, Will and Holly. They obviously love Edinburgh and food, and they truly made us feel like we were hanging out with friends for an afternoon.

My family and I recently went on this unforgettable food tour involving both local Scottish favourites and delicious Asian cuisine. The tour was really well-organized, with a friendly and knowledgeable guide named Will. What a gentleman! We visited a mix of traditional Scottish eateries and modern spots for the best Asian dishes. And it was more than just eating, as we also discovered the soul of the city too. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Edinburgh who wants to explore beyond the usual tourist spots!

Will is such a lovely person and the most amazing guide. He really cares that you are enjoying yourselves and always checks in to see how you are doing. You can tell that he loves Edinburgh and also really loves good food. We had a wonderful afternoon exploring a different part of Edinburgh, with spectacular food. Highlights included the roti, siu mai, kim chi pancakes and sandwiches. The kids' favourite part was the last stop! Everything was so good I forgot to take more photos of the food before it was devoured. This tour is family friendly and makes you feel right at home. We 100% recommend it if you love food and talking to locals. We hope to be back someday! Thanks Will!

One of the best tours we had in Edinburgh! Food was delicious and Will was awesome! So personable and knowledgeable. He was so accommodating. And the portions were more than generous. Definitely a five star for this tour. Who knew there was such delightful Asian cuisine in Scotland!

Book this one. Best food tour we've ever done in any city. Will was gracious and such a lovely host. It was like spending 3 hours visiting a friend in their town, eating at all their favorite local spots. The tour was full of hidden gems, and so much food. Each dish was carefully and intentionally selected for a great experience, and Will was respectful of any allergies or dietary restrictions. Everywhere we stopped, the staff was happy to see Will- you can tell he has built relationships with each of these small businesses. It's a newer tour, and worth taking a chance on. Thanks for a great experience!

We had a fantastic experience on our food tour in Edinburgh with Will. He thoughtfully tailored the experience to suit our dietary needs, which made it feel personal and well-considered. We loved visiting a variety of local, family-run businesses that we might not have found on our own. The food was delicious, diverse, and full of authentic flavour. What made it even better was that it was just the two of us on the tour, which gave it a truly personal and relaxed feel. Will was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He even went out of his way after the tour to send us excellent local recommendations for the rest of our stay. This tour was a real highlight of our trip, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and flavourful way to explore Edinburgh.

We thoroughly enjoyed our gastronomic experience with Will - a charming, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We were looking for a tour that provided a different take on food in Edinburgh beyond the typical Scottish cuisine and this tour more than delivered! Will’s tour explored a lovely area of Edinburgh that wasn’t as touristy at a very relaxing pace and we enjoyed food from multiple places that were his personal favorites. His passion for delicious and authentic food was evident and we were given generous portions at each stop, so be sure to come hungry. We really loved the creative last stop - we won’t ruin the surprise - take the tour to learn for yourselves! Highly recommended!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Edinburgh. This was a trip that my 12yo son had been wanting to do for 6 years. Will was amazing with him. He catered to his every culinary wish…including his inexplicable desire to try haggis! Surprisingly, my son loved it. The history and exploration of the city made this a great kick-off tour for our trip. Although we found every stop, and there were many, to be unique and delicious, by far the best part was supermarket sweep! I’ll let you figure out what that is when you come on this incredible tour! Thank you Will for making this tour so memorable. Cheers to you. Robert, Amanda and Pierce.
