Armenian Quarter
From the main street of the Armenian quarter, we enter the courtyard of the St. James Church, the burial site of James, the brother of Jesus, and James one of his 12 disciples. Here we will admire the unique architecture and the stunning traditional Armenian ceramics displayed in the church, and learn the history of the Armenian community in Jerusalem for over 1500 years.

5.00This will be a long review, please read to the end! We were with Roni for 9 days and travelled all over Israel. His encyclopedic knowledge of the history of Israel is a WOW! His incredible depth of knowledge of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and other minor Middle Eastern religions impacting Israeli history, culture, and current society is a WOW! The fact that he worked at the Museum of Israel, and can take you on an “inside” tour is a WOW! If there’s time during the day if you get up and out early enough, he treats you to “surprise” places. That’s a wow! But the fact that he really becomes a member of your family, treats your children as his own, is genuinely concerned about your welfare is a big, big WOW!!

5.00Simply amazing! Roni is extremely knowledgeable, nice to be around, and accommodating to everyone’s needs. His tours are thoughtfully designed and tailored to individual wants and needs. We did full days in the Old City, Galilee, and Jaffa/Tel Aviv and I could not imagine doing any of it without him! We are leaving Israel in love with the country and feeling like we have a grasp of the past and present in this fascinating place. Thanks again, Roni, and see you soon!!

5.00We did two days with Roni—one in Jerusalem’s old city and one in Tel Aviv-Yafo. Each day was unique and helped us create memories for our two boys aged 10 and 14. We all also felt like we finally understood places we had visited (for some of us) many times before. Roni weaved together an epic story of religion, history, architecture and the human condition over the course of our two days with him. We truly loved our time with him. In fact, a most enjoyable episode was sitting with Roni eating shakshuka and hearing about his personal experience living and raising a family in the Land. Roni is the real deal and we couldn’t recommend him more.

I’m a pastor from America and the biggest Bible nerd I know, and Roni blew me away with his knowledge. He was so kind and fun, and everyone in the Old City knew him 😆. 5.00Phenomenal day and tour! Our guide, Roni, was so great and extremely knowledgeable. He had so many great stories about Jerusalem, both from a historical perspective, as well as personal ,as he grew up just outside the Wall of the Old City. We were a party of four (two of which had been to Jerusalem several times and two first timers). The tour was incredible for all. For those that had been to Jerusalem before, Roni introduced us to many places that we had not been to (nor knew about). For the first timers, they were blown away by the history, sites and stories of three great religions and the city itself. Roni was simply the best!!! It was like being with the Mayor of Jerusalem as he knew people everywhere we went as well as sites both well known and a bit more obscure. We did not know Roni at the beginning of the day, by the end we felt like we had found our long lost Israeli family! Do not hesitate to book with him. He will provide an experience of a lifetime. He was also very helpful in assisting us and making suggestions for our itinerary throughout the rest of Israel. He is a true gem of a person and a fantastic guide.

5.00We enjoyed a wonderful, full day tour with Roni. We had been to Jerusalem before, and we were pleasantly surprised that Roni's perspective and tour showed us several things we had missed on our first visit! I especially appreciated his thoughtful planning of our routing throughout the day. There is so much to see - I would recommend you discuss in advance with Roni to plan the day that's best for you. We did a fair amount of walking (8km+) and it was great for our group, but I would suggest discussing that in advance as well, as that might not work for all. We arranged the tour directly with Roni and he was incredibly responsive. A great, thorough tour!
