City Hall Visitor Center
Took 30 years and cost $25 million—a huge sum back then. The walls are 22 feet thick, made of solid stone! 1901: City Hall was completed. At 548 feet, it was the tallest building in the world and is still the tallest masonry building today. 5.00Andy, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and took us all around Philadelphia and gave us the history of many places. He stopped many times for us to tour, go in a museum, take pictures, and waited on us. Touring in an electric car is the way to go.
