An adventure for all ages that you won't forget in no time.
We will start our day in Reykjavik where I will pick you up at bus stop 8 (Hallgrimskirkja). From there, we will drive directly on the famous ring road towards the south. In total, we will visit 6 different waterfalls, which everyone is very special for themselves.
I am also happy to explain to you the many geological peculiarities behind these wonderful landscapes.

Our first stop is a hidden gem on the south coast of Iceland. A place that not many people know about and we can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this place. The waterfall is hidden in a rare Icelandic forest surrounded by small caves, which are worth exploring. A beautiful place that is sometimes used as a wedding location.
Gluggafoss/Merkjarfoss
Gluggafoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls on Iceland's south coast and is still not well known. A small cave allows you to have a view behind the waterfall and to feel the power of water with your own hands. With a view on the geology of the area, we will understand the appearance of the waterfall and see the effects of volcanic eruptions in the past.

This tour was nothing short of magical. My husband and I were with our three daughters, ages 12, 10 and 9, and there were two other women with us who we didn’t know but were very nice. We ended up seeing 6 waterfalls all together, and WOW!! The first one was a hidden gem and next to a small, rare little forest. My 10 year old said she could build a cabin and live there forever, and we decided that if elves really exist, they definitely live there! We could climb up and touch the waterfall, walk through the woods and had the entire place to ourselves. The next one was my personal favorite—it had a low fall and a high fall that was set farther back. Our guide explained the geology of the area and why the falls formed the way they did. Absolutely incredible! After a nice lunch break, we hiked up a mountain to see the next falls which were stunning. The higher we went, the more falls we saw as the river meandered along. The final two were so so fun—we were able to climb behind the falls and our girls stood in the pouring water, happy as clams, doing a little dance and laughing. The last one required us to walk through a large cave opening, using stepping stones to make our way back to a large open air cavern with a waterfall inside. It was breathtaking! All in all, we absolutely LOVED this tour and would recommend it 1,000%! You’ll learn without even realizing it. Amazing.

If you love waterfalls; this tour is perfect! The guide was great--I felt like I was traveling with a friend. The picture is Gljufrabui Waterfall--a gem near Seljalandsfoss. Great to be on a smaller group tour as well. Highly recommended!
