Explore Varanasi’s heritage / splendor / history through a person who has his roots in this ancient city. I am Manjeet Sahani and my family for generations have lived in Varanasi. I love this great city and know every street / corner and the history / stories of Varanasi. My passion is to share this with you and let you have an authentic experience of Varanasi. You would be my guest in truest traditions of ours. I am a qualified guide and I will customize the program based on yours needs – few hours or a complete day or few days. 5.00Manjeet was a great guide and we can thoroughly recommend his services. He is personable, engaging, informative and was respectful of our wishes. We hired him for 2 days and had a very comprehensive tour of Varanasi. We went away feeling that we had seen everything that we had hoped to see. It was kind of like an amalgam of tours -foodie tour, (wow the local specialities we were introduced to were absolutely delicious) boat tour, walking tour (old Varanasi & the Moslem quarter, the ghats and Aarti ceremony ), temples and more. 5.00I recommend Manjit as a guide. Showed places that only locals know, shoots videos and photos very well and made us rails as well. Nice, tidy, drove to restaurants with good cuisine. Always on time went wherever he agreed. 10 points.

5.00I booked Manjeet for a 4 hour walking tour when I travelled to Varanasi solo. I’m so glad I did. He was an outstanding guide; full of knowledge and subtly adapting our walk to what I was interested in. Varanasi is such an intense, overwhelming and unique place and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much without him. He ended up taking me on 3 separate tours, each one excellent, giving me different insights into this vibrant culture. He’s also a yoga teacher and a great photographer. Highly recommended.

Who, throughout our pilgrimage to Varanasi and Guahani (Assam province), during the celebration of the autumn Navaratri, was our guide, who fulfilled all the tasks with distinction. There was not a single request that our guide could not fulfill. His ability to show a true, non-"tourist" India is impressive! It was only thanks to Manjit that we were able to visit the oldest temples and places of strength hidden from the usual gaze and away from the tourist trails. And it gave us the opportunity to have an unforgettable and very important experience, to come to incredible realizations of important things) Thank you, Manjeet, everything was great!

5.00Manjeet showed us Varanasi in August 2025. We arrived after heavy rains and the Ghats were under water. Our hotel told us the daily Aarti ceremony was suspended - but Manjeet got us front row VIP tickets for a rooftop Aarti where we participated and received blessing - magical and at an amazing price! He also took us to the funeral ghats and led us through Varanasi at our own pace - adapting the tour to suit us with no shopping that we didn’t want to do. He is a local and really knowledgeable, very reasonably priced (1/4 price of similar tour from our hotel) and a really nice interesting guy. Highly recommended.

5.00I'm so glad I chose Maanjit as a guide for our 2 days in Varanasi! Our visit wouldn't have been the same without him. He went out of his way to make sure we were all happy and explained exactly what we were going to see as we went along. He was flexible with times and stops, including food. He took us to try out some samosas and Lassi as well as a very unique local restaurant on the second day. We went down different alleys and he explained the history and culture of Varanasi and India in general. We also visited some very interesting temples and got great seats for the Ganga Aarti. He is a very friendly and sweet guy and speaks excellent English, and on top of everything he took some great photos of us all and put together some great videos! He doesn't make pre-packed standard itineraries, but really understands hie guests and customised the tour according to their needs. Thanks so so much Manjeet!
