In addition to this we will be entering another historic College at the University, various parts of the Bodleian Library, along with covering the most iconic sites of the University spread around the city centre.

At Christ Church, your guide will provide an in-depth external overview before you enter independently with a multimedia headset created by the Christ Church team.

Excellent guide, and good access. But lots of fast walking, so be aware that you need to be fit.

Hello, I am very disappointed with the event that took place... Of the listed itinerary, we were unfortunately only shown half of it ... Booking Summary Date: May 13, 2026 Extended Oxford Tour: 11:00 Travelers: 2 Adults Duration: 3 hours (approx.) Language: English Booking Number: 1390255729 As an example… the following activities were not carried out… - Bodleian Library / 10 minutes / Admission included - History of Science Museum / 5 minutes / Free admission - Bridge of Sighs / 5 minutes / Free admission - University Church of St. Mary the Virgin / 5 minutes / Free admission - Radcliffe Camera / 5 minutes / Free admission I really ought to get my money back... I paid a considerable amount for this event, € 187.86 for two people, to enjoy all the activities you offered ... I even made a special trip all the way from London to Oxford just for this ... I am extremely disappointed and that is precisely why I am leaving this review. I also raised this issue at the Tourist Information Center in Oxford, but I was told that I have to direct my complaint to the tour operator, as the staff there are not responsible for the matter. The entire itinerary is posted here ... 1. Balliol College Reputed to be the oldest college at the University of Oxford 5 minutes / Free admission 2. Trinity College One of the most beautiful colleges at the University of Oxford, dating back to 1555. 10 minutes / Admission included 3. Exeter College Founded in 1314—notably famous for the fact that Tolkien was a student here. 5 minutes / Free admission 4. Hertford College With a history dating back to 1282, this college is considered one of the most progressive in Oxford. A great opportunity to experience the typically unhurried pace of life in Oxford. 5 minutes / Free admission 5. Magdalen College Founded in 1458, this is the largest college in Oxford. Boasting incredible grounds, it even features its own Deer Park. Home to C.S. Lewis and Oscar Wilde. 20 minutes / Free admission 6. History of Science Museum Famous for housing Albert Einstein's blackboard, complete with the markings he made during his lecture series in Oxford. 5 minutes / Free admission 7. Weston Library A dramatic example of Brutalist architecture, contrasting sharply with the quintessential Victorian Neo-Gothic style for which Oxford is renowned. Home to over 5 million books—including some of the most significant in human history—it features a stunningly modern interior following an extensive renovation. 5 minutes / Free admission 8. Martyrs' Memorial Often overlooked, yet arguably the most significant religious site in Oxford. It stands as a solemn reminder of the dark conflict between Protestants and Catholics in England, which resulted in many brutal deaths. 5 minutes / Free admission 9. Sheldonian Theatre Completed in 1669 by Sir Christopher Wren. This is where the University of Oxford’s most important ceremonies take place. 5 minutes / Free admission 10. New College Often—mistakenly—considered "new" despite dating back to 1379; it served as a key model for all subsequent colleges. 5 minutes / Free admission 11. Bodleian Library One of the most important libraries in England, built in 1602 and home to over 12 million books and documents dating back to the era of the Pharaohs. 10 minutes / Admission included 12. Bridge of Sighs The most photographed site in Oxford. 5 minutes / Free admission 13. Radcliffe Camera The most famous site in Oxford (the one you typically see on postcards). Certainly worth the hype, though it serves a very different function than most people imagine. 5 minutes / Free admission 14. All Souls College The most exclusive academic institution in the world, home to "Lawrence of Arabia" and some of the finest traditions at the University of Oxford. 5 minutes / Free admission 15. University Church of St Mary the Virgin The epicenter of the University of Oxford, grounded in its religious foundations. It is also home to some of the most intricately detailed grotesques in Oxford. 5 minutes / Free admission 16. Merton College With a reputation as the most academically rigorous college—and a founding date of 1264—it is an essential stop on any tour of Oxford. Renowned for serving exceptional food to its students! 5 minutes / Free admission 17. Christ Church Meadow A unique spot in the heart of Oxford with strong ties to *Alice's Adventures in Wonderland*. 5 minutes / Free admission 18. Christ Church Christ Church is one of the most famous colleges in Oxford. It is nearly 500 years old and boasts a truly impressive collection of buildings, as well as strong ties to *Harry Potter* and *Alice in Wonderland*. Before you enter, your guide will provide a comprehensive external overview of the college and its grounds; you will then be equipped with a multimedia audio guide, allowing you to explore the expansive grounds at your own pace. We recommend allocating one hour for this—after which the experience concludes. 1 Hour / Admission Included 19. The Divinity School The first purpose-built lecture hall and one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in Europe. It is no wonder that it was used as a filming location for *Harry Potter* and other Hollywood movies! Explore this renowned ceremonial building in the company of those who have actually participated in its ceremonies! During peak season (June–August), access to the Divinity School is extremely limited due to frequent closures and high demand, and therefore cannot be guaranteed as part of the tour. While some companies may claim otherwise, we prefer to be honest rather than risk disappointment on the day of your visit. If the venue happens to be closed on the day of your tour, we will substitute it with admission to another university college. 5 Minutes / Admission Included Thanks and Regards Daniel Berwanger

The Oxford tour was fun, informative and safe. Dougall, our driver, managed our ride in and out of London with expert care and fun facts. In Oxford, Thorstein was animated and articulate. Full of passion and insight, our time passed quickly. Loved it.

The three hour tour was comprehensive and covered a lot of ground, physically and educationally. We had access to three colleges and being able to take our own time around Christchurch was invaluable. What made the tour so worthwhile was our guide, Schree (sp), who was knowledgable, articulate, clearly spoken and had a sense of humour.

Excellent tour by former graduate student at Oxford so you got the inside scoop on what it was like studying there! I’d encourage you to take the extended tour with Christ Church College.

Moderate amount of walking to see key sights in central city Oxford. Good balance of free time at a few of the sites. Ricardo does an excellent job of telling us about the sites, relevant points, and history. He also answered everyone’s questions. Would highly recommend having him as your tour guide.
