Building on from our standard Oxford University & City Tour (the single highest reviewed tour of Oxford) comes this extended version, which includes visiting multiple Colleges and guarantees entrance into Christ Church; allowing you to visit one of the most famous Colleges at Oxford University. Coupled with entering the Bodleian Library, this is has been designed as the ultimate Oxford experience, from the highest rated tour companies in Oxford.
Often mistaken for being the entire Oxford University, Christ Church is not only one of the largest colleges but certainly the most famous. From its links to royalty, and one of the most significant film sites for Harry Potter in England; make the best of your time in Oxford with this extended tour.
In addition to this we will be entering another historic College at the University, various parts of the Bodleian Library, along with covering the most iconic sites of the University spread around the city centre.

As Oxford University is a working institution, some sites may close without notice. In such rare cases, we’ll show you the best available alternatives, inform you of any major changes in advance, and offer a refund if needed.
At Christ Church, your guide will provide an in-depth external overview before you enter independently with a multimedia headset created by the Christ Church team.
During peak season (June–August), access to the Divinity School is extremely limited due to frequent closures and high demand, and may not be included in the tour. While some companies may claim otherwise, we prefer to be honest upfront rather than risk disappointment on the day. We will substitute this site with another College entrance, if not available on your day.
If you select Pickup option (the more expensive one) the meeting point will be the London address (Gloucester Road Tube Station), otherwise its the Oxford one (15 Broad Street, Oxford)

Fabulous tour of Oxford with our guide Elaina who brought the place to life over our time spent with her soaking in all the sights and it's history. Extremely comfortable and convenient journey from London to and from Oxford. A well organised tour and a day well spent. Thank you for a fantastic and memorable experience

Elena, our guide was well informed and entertaining. The pace was just right and we enjoyed every stop along the way. Adding Christ Church was incredible!

The reason I bought this tour is because I thought we get a guide for all parts of listed attractions. The description also says around 3 hours but the whole tour was only 2 hours. We were dropped off at Christ Church with our own tickets to go in (I could’ve purchased tickets myself). This was around 1pm. The students’ lunch hour doesn’t end until 2 so we were stuck in there waiting for an hour until they finish lunch to see the Great Hall. I feel like the starting time could’ve been set to later so we go in when the Great Hall is available to tourists. It would be nice if we also have a guide

Unfortunately not all the stops were respected, in the first college we were quite unnecessarily more than half an hour and in another we did not go at all, even the Bridge of Sights was seen far away. A bit of a rush the main college of the visit, Christ Church, where you should arrive a little earlier and instead you have a short hour. I took this tour because it included a ticket to this college. Then one should realize that a tourist would also like to take (and maybe get taken) some photos. Considering that it is a walking tour, the price is extremely high.

Shree was a wonderful tour guide. She did a great job explaining the history of Oxford as well as giving a student's perspective on the university.

Riccardo was a great guide. We learned a lot about the university and history of Oxford. It’s a small group tour that we would recommend.

The Oxford tour with Footprints was the seventh walking tour of our UK holiday (the others were all in London) and proved to be the best by far. Oxford was a delightful change from London, in the sense that it is more relaxed, quieter, and so much less crowded. The main drawcard for this tour, nevertheless, was our guide, Nick. Nick has a PhD in history from Oxford and his love of all things historical shone out throughout the tour. His approach was not overly cerebral - our ten-year-old daughter was captivated by his stories and my wife and I greatly appreciated his sharp sense of humour and regular links of the historical with the contemporary. The design of the tour was impressive – with quite short walks between the stops. There was a mix of architecture, history (personalities, events, intrigues), politics, and current life as a student in Oxford (we even know the best college for meals). Nick was incredibly responsive to questions, and no topic came even close to stumping him. He was proficient in Latin, seemed knowledgeable in Ancient Greek, and his ability to conjure relevant quotes was marvellous. If he is typical of a modern Oxford scholar, then it is certainly an institution to aspire to. In terms of transportation, we opted for the pickup from Gloucester Road tube station. Our driver (and guide), Dougall, was early (a good thing) for both the onward and return journeys. The vehicle was modern, clean and spacious. Dougall impressed us with his safe and relaxed driving. He also gave engaging commentaries for part of each trip. The journey proved quicker than advertised (also a good thing), and my sense was that we reached Oxford in just over an hour. In terms of administration, the process and information were straightforward and clear, with just the right amount of follow-up/confirmation. Overall, the Footprints package was, in our experience, first-class in all respects. Peter
