Paihia is such a beautiful place to visit, so much to see and do, or just chill at the many cafes, restaurants! Catch the foot ferry over to Russell or just hang in Paihia, at the beach or the many restaurants

Lunch was a chicken wrap which was nice, quiche which was a bit bland, and a brownie which was fluffy and delicious. The tour guide George was entertaining

Phenomenal experience. The scenery and journey was beyond our expectations. Barry (our tour guide) was the highlight - his expert knowledge and humorous commentary made for a fully entertaining 400+ km journey, and myself and my partner would like to personally thank him for his kindness to our "team" that day! It was touch and go whether the tides would allow for us to travel on 90-mile beach by bus, but Barry made sure we got there with plenty of time (even for some sandboarding!) Lunch was provided and was delicious; I am coeliac and they accommodated a gluten-free lunch just for me which was great! Overall, would recommend to anyone who wants to learn about Māori heritage, see beautiful scenery and enjoy the company of Barry and our other adventurers.

We had a very enjoyable day trip to Cape Reinga including Ninety Mile Beach with Barry our driver. He was very entertaining along the way and a confident safe driver. I am pleased we decided to take the bus trip as the journey is quite long by car.

A full but fantastic day with excellent commentary and stories by the driver/guide. Picnic lunch location by the beach was splendid.

Last did this as a kid and now doing it as an adult with my wife i found it a whole different experience. It's a long bus ride but the stops break it into enjoyable parts with Barry's knowledgeable commentary (and jokes). The people on our bus were awesome too and loved discussing other countries cuisine. The breaks were well timed and really enjoyed grubbing for tuatua and the sand boarding. Frankly, worth every cent we paid and more. Still think the Awanui should be named Tino Awanui at full tide! E Barry ma, nga mihi nui kia koutou katoa. Pakanui me a Caron

It is quite a long day, but the driver (George) was extremely knowledgeable & kept us entertained the entire way, with stories & Maori songs. I especially enjoyed the sand surfing & a hot cup of soup was a welcome surprise on our lunch stop

Great value trip and an easy way to get the inside knowledge and access to spots you wouldn't do yourself, such as dune boarding and beach access. Barry the driver was a great character and brought local and cultural gems to the trip.

Our driver/guide George was excellent with a combination of information about our route and attractions together with Māori lore, songs and wisdom. The lunch (chicken wrap, brownie and apple) was perfect for the event. Stops were well managed - the cafe/museum shop at Avouni was excellent. We did not do the sand boarding but those who did seemed enthused.
