A lovely full day tour with friendly driver/guide Tania who shared her own story as we passed through the spiritually significant landmarks. Both Cape Reinga and 90-mile beach are picturesque and jewels in the crown of Bay of Islands

Very nice family outing. Georges, the driver, and his boss Maka are very friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere during the journey, with several stops despite the distance. Very good experience, I recommend.

We had the most incredible day with our driver Barry. He obviously loves his job and has so many interesting local and North Island stories. He is fluent in the Maori language and explained many of the customs to us before going to the sacred area of Cape Reinga. It felt like a very spiritual experience. He took the bus onto the beach and stopped for everyone to try sandboarding. That was so fun. Dress in shorts or pants and a t-shirt so you can try it, and get your cameras ready to record it. Don't drive there yourself. Go with Barry. It's much more meaningful.

We loved the tour. You should know that the office doesn't open until 7 so don't go 15 minutes early! The bus didn't leave until 7:15 and then picked up all the hotel stops so you don't really leave until 7:30. It is a long drive but it was lovely.

Breath taking and so much fun! It rained for about 50% of the tour and it was still absolutely amazing! Loved every second. The sand surfing was an unexpected bit of fun!
