  We’ve been to 2 of these now - the second one was at the Baskerville Hall in Clyro. The entertainment is really good, but I don’t think we would go to a third because obviously they’re using the same script (although much of it is improvised so that keeps it fresh).. but it’s the food that puts me off now At the first venue we had a two choices of starters, main, and pud from the menu, on this occasion, we had no choices at all!? I’m afraid that the main course just wasn’t up to par and although I guess the emphasis isn’t on the food, I still feel that for our money it should be better. At the first occasion near Swansea, we had vol-au-vents and cheese/pineapple plus sausages on cocktail sticks which was a really nice start and the venue was amazing. On this occasion there was no such entree to the evening and although the soup starter was okay and the pudding was actually nice the main course - which was breast of chicken in some kind of thin milky creamy sauce with VERY underdone vegetables and just big new potatoes with no butter or anything interesting was just not up to scratch and none of us enjoyed it at the entire table of eight! They would probably argue that this was 1970s basic food but even in the 1970s they had decent creamy sauces and roasted potatoes?!! I know - I was there!! The venue desperately needs updating everywhere. The ladies toilet were a massive disappointment and you can’t even argue that that was 1970s because that felt more like 1950s! Top marks to the cast though and Cybil had the most perfect laugh just like the original!

  Way exceeded my expectations. Fantastic performance from the actors who did a great job interacting with every table. It was so funny our cheeks were aching. As soon as it was over I was contacting friends to recommend it. Well worth the money.

  What an experience! 10/10 from start to finish. The actors got the nuances of the characters spot on, even the voices were insanely good. A brilliantly delivered alternative dining experience that will make you laugh out loud! Food was very 70's basic but tasty and fit the whole experience perfectly!

  I laughed from start to finish. if you love Fawlty Towers and good old British Comedy this is a must. It is such a different experience Theatre in a dining environment It’s BRILLIANT! Basil is genius, Sibil the boss and Manuel just hilarious

  Great interactive show but the food is not good. Cheapest powdered soup, skinniest chicken leg I have ever seen with 3 baby carrots and a blob of potatoes! Surely boneless chicken could have been served for the price they charge! And 2 microwaved slices of gluten free bread instead of a GF roll.

  I would concur with the reviews I'd read about the show being brilliantly funny. I wasn't expecting that much from the actual food (from reading those reviews), but it was all quite acceptable. You wouldn't be rushing to try and get the same food elsewhere, but it sufficed, and the dessert in particular was very nice. We appreciated that water was provided on each table, but we don't regret pre-purchasing a bottle of merlot - the cheapest red wine - we felt it represented good value, particularly as no service charge was applied. But the point of going to this evening is the whole Fawlty Towers bit, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and felt the cast did an excellent job. They struck a great balance between making everyone feel part of it all while making us feel we were being really well entertained. It felt like we were all guests at a wedding meeting for the first time, and we came away with very happy memories. Therefore, I'm giving it a 5-star rating.

• If you remember Faulty Towers, this is a must!

  If you are looking for a quite dinner out.....this is not for you! With this one you are not only entertained while eating, you may be part of the entertainment! The actors did a fantastic job of bringing Sybil, Basil and Manuel back to life. Their interaction with the diners was amazing and their ability to ad-lib and roll jokes off the cuff was very impressive. They recreated some of the most memorable moments from the show along with a lot of fun physical humour. And of course you get a 3 course meal as part of it!

  All in all, we spent a fun evening. The 3 actors were very hard and likeable and involved the audience as well. Great how exactly the characters were imitated. The gags were a bit based on scenes from the original series and especially tailored to the poor English of the Spanish waiter. The audience consisted predominantly of people over 50, as these naturally form the Fawlty Towers fan group. The restaurant could do with more atmosphere, e.g. by different light, e.g. candles. Starter and dessert were ok, but the main course (chicken with potatoes and vegetables) was among every criticism. While the chicken itself was good, the carrots were shrivelled and kept warm for too long. The potato dumpling turned out to be a cut-to-size potato not well cooked. Too bad: The mood of the audience dropped noticeably during the main course. We had a lot of fun as Fawlty Towers fans, but you could make much more of it if the food was better, for example.

  The actors were excellent and it was a good laugh. Each actor was authentic and kept us entertained from start to finish. Service was very good especially that provided by Manuel who launched our rolls at us in an entertaining way.. Starter and pudding were good but the main course was disappointing. The chicken pieces must have come from emancipated chickens. Overall though it was a great experience.
