Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga At the first day of Fes to Fes 2 days Merzouga desert tour , The departure from Fez is at 8:00 AM. Our professional driver takes you along the Atlas mountains. On your way, you will pass by some Berber villages like Imouzzer (1200 m of altitude). This village is inhabited by the famous Berber tribe of "Zayanes" whose main occupation is agriculture. Afterwards, a stop is necessary in Ifrane (1650 m of altitude). It looks like a small Swiss town and it is famous for its Ski Resort of Michlifen. Not much further you will enjoy a walk in the Cedar Forest. This is known for being the home of the North African monkey (the famous Barbary macaque).

Day 2: Merzouga - Tafilalte - Fes Wake early and walk across the dunes to watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, about 50 kilometers from Merzouga. Take a shower after and enjoy breakfast before the drive back to Fes, and benefit from comfort stops on the approximate 7-hour journey.

5.00Idriss is a wonderful guide, we spent 14 days of the most taken care of. He speaks perfect Spanish and is very patient. The route went from Morocco to Tanger, passing through the cool desert. Riads and hotels are very good. A journey I would repeat without hesitation.

5.00Ghali is very friendly and helpful, always try his best to meet our requests. He knows we love animals so he brings us to the fossil place on the way from desert to Fes. He also brought apple for us to feed the monkeys. We have wonderful experience with him in Morocco!! 🫶🏻

5.00It was a very precious experience to spend one night in the Sahara! The trip to the desert was a lot to see, and I enjoyed it very quickly. Especially the post-dinner dance in the desert, under a starry sky, as if we were living there, was a luxury time!

5.00The drivers are very friendly and will slow down where there are bumps in the road to lessen the impact. They also interject a brief commentary about the towns along the way, which makes the journey enjoyable. As mentioned by the three people above, you can see a star-filled sky in the desert. I could clearly see the dark constellations here, which I cannot see in everyday life. It is recommended to download a constellation app beforehand. Note that mobile phone connection is difficult in the desert.
