Tour guide was very nice and informative. We only got to enter one building but the stories were amazing and we learned a lot. A different way to spend a morning in NYC.

Wonderful experience. Our tour guide was very nice and friendly, and he was very knowledgeable. It was a great way to learn more about the city and this time period. As most commented and how it listed in the tour details, this is an outside tour, which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, most of the Gilded Age homes no longer exist or off limits to the public. Highly recommend this tour for new and returning visitors to the city.

We are a family from Norway who joined a walking tour with guide Laura in May, and we could not have been more pleased with her and the tour. Laura was pleasant, interesting and knowledgeable about everything she showed us and could answer all our questions. We highly recommend Laura, and will definitely join more walking tours.

Ben was so knowledgeable about the Gilded age and its impacts on NYC architecture and migration up Manhattan. He was also a superb storyteller, weaving in foreshadowing as he told the personal stories of the wealthy (and quirky) leaders of this time. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you are looking for a calm walk with learning opportunity in a gorgeous section of Manhattan.

This tour exceeded expectations. Book with Rosemary (Ro). She brings the history of these mansions to life, providing details and fun facts. Time flies and leaves you wanting to know more! We are looking forward to booking another Untapped tour with Ro.

Excellent presentation. Covers a great deal of historic information. I highly recommend it… especially if interested in the gilded age.

The Tour features mansions of largely and lesser known Manhattan socialites of the turn of the last century. Our excellent and quite knowledgeable Guide punctuated our walk with pictures of the interiors of these fabled homes. The only disappointment was not seeing any interiors, but for one view of one room.
