Good, informative tour. Katie, the guide, shared fun facts and interesting stories about the families and mansions along the tour. Except for the weather, it was perfect.

It was an informative architectural tour on 5th avenue. Ben was easy to listen to and full of stories of the late 1800 to early 1900’s.

Our guide Laura did an outstanding job of providing background and the history of the mansions we viewed. She used a tablet to show us pictures and documents pertaining to the mansions we saw

You only go into to one gilded age mansion. The rest of the stops are outside in front of specific buildings and areas and your guide presents stories, history and pictures of each place and the era.

This tour was just great. My wife and I have been visiting NYC for years, and this was one of the most unexpectedly interesting tours we have had. We just didn't know much about this section of town, and our tour guide was so educated and experienced it really opened our eyes to this unique time and history. We can now take a walk down 5th Avenue and have a whole new appreciation for what we are seeing.

Fascinating insight into old New York. Loved all the stories, architecture and history. Lots crammed into 2 hours and well worth it. No need to have watched the HBO series- references are made (for interest) but the tour is much more about the growth of the city....and the families behind it. Richard held our attention for the 2 hours and was well armed to answer all questions.

Richard did an excellent tour for us. We learned a lot of new information about the gilded age. He pointed out many buildings and made the tour very fun and comfortable. I highly recommend this Gilded Age tour when you’re in NYC.

Ro was an excellent tour guide!!! She was very knowledgeable and was great at telling us the information about each mansion. She was very engaging. I loved seeing these buildings and hearing the history of each. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves NYC, who loves the gilded age and anyone who wants to learn more! Thank you, Ro, and thank you Untapped!
