Your adventure will commence at the Reykjavik Domestic Airport. Our experienced pilot will greet you with the warmest welcome and whisk you straight towards the Þórisjökull glacier for our first landing. During the journey towards the glacier we will fly you across the highest most bedazzled waterfall in all of Iceland; the famed Glymur.
This helicopter tour will save you hours of hiking and you will enjoy the panoramic view from your comfortable seat high in the sky. Once we reach our designated landing stop atop the vast glacier; you will have a chance to meander across the glacier, take photos and make countless memories! Throw snowballs, have a snowball fight! Build your very own snow angel and try making an snowman! Just simply enjoying the stunning view is enough in its own right as well! The crisp fresh glacier air is tantalizing to your senses.

I booked the flight alone as it sounded very exciting. Been very good weather that day! Fire and ice would translate to me as glacier and volcano. It wasn't a volcano, it was geothermal springs. Nevertheless, very interesting to come a the places to which you cannot drive or walk and for me as a photographer very successful. Two landings, cozy time and no hassle, highly recommended. On the way back past the largest waterfall in Iceland, which is not easy to reach.

We saved this experience for the second last day of our trip. It was a good choice in that it provided excellent context to our ground-level explorations. In early September, the glacier landing was surprising. Unlike the PR picture on the company's site showing a smooth snow-covered surface, we were able to get a first hand introduction to the melting and surface cracking that had been occurring all summer. Walking through the rift caused by the tectonic plates motion was striking. But the aerial view made the tremendous forces involved obvious. The whole process from booking to check-in to safety instructions was flawless, easy, and professional. The pilot was highly competent and made sure that a good time was had by all. This was one of the best parts of our trip to Iceland.

Had a fantastic ride with a great crew. They helped us adjust our flight time to ensure the best experience and went out of their way to ensure we had a terrific time. The helicopters are fantastic with super good visibility and comfort. Very good value for the money compared to similar tours - never felt rushed and we saw amazing sights we wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Highly recommend!

Went for my 30th Birthday was an amazing experience, cannot recommend enough. We were unable to land on the glacier due to strong winds so ended up making a stop at the top of a waterfall which was breathtaking!

My wife and I ended our 10 day Icelandic honeymoon with GalcierHeli for a 2 hour flight around the volcanos, glaciers and geothermals and it was spectacular! I’ve done dozens of heli tours over the years around the world and this was one of the best!

I joined the Fire and Ice Helicopter Tour: Glacier and Hengill Geothermal Area on my own, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. From the beginning, the staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. Traveling solo, I really appreciated how they made sure I felt welcome and comfortable throughout the process. What impressed me most was how considerate they were about seating—ensuring that every passenger had a chance to enjoy the best possible views during the flight. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Flying over geothermal areas, steaming vents, and volcanic landscapes was like entering another world. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to see the glacier this time, but the pilot made sure we explored other fascinating places, and I never felt like I missed out on the adventure. One important tip: Iceland’s weather changes quickly, so it’s worth being flexible and prepared for last-minute adjustments. Even with the change of plan, the views were breathtaking, and the whole journey felt safe, smooth, and very well organized. This tour is a must-do if you want to see Iceland from a completely different perspective. The landscapes are unforgettable, and the service is truly top-notch.
