The historical Gargano Trabucchi are centuries old and are recognized as a historical and cultural heritage of the Puglia Region. They were the undisputed protagonists of the fishing economy on the Gargano until the mid-twentieth century and have to tell a thousand stories of fishing, of hard fatigue, of the hopes of generations of skilled fishermen and, above all, of human ingenuity reaching out to a friendly sea. and generous but, at the same time, merciless and destructive. On the Molinells trabucco you will be able to watch and participate in fishing as it was in the past (without engines, eco-sounders, computers, etc.) helping the "Mastri Trabuccolanti" (keepers of the ancient art of building and fishing a trebuchet) to operate winches, to pull the nets and to collect the fish. In short, you will be able to attend and be the protagonist of a unique show in the world: that of traditional fishing on a Trabucco Storico Garganico. A small refreshment (rustic pizza, taralli, wine, olives, water) will be offered between one fishing trip and another to chat more amiably.
Small refreshments based on rustic pizza, taralli, olives, wine, water and soft drinks for children.

Interesting information about the history of the Trabucchi, live demo of the working method (unfortunately without fishing success), short apéro at the end. The Association for the Conservation of Trabucchi deserves our support. Therefore the price of 18€ per person is ok.

The trebuchet fishing experience was among the most beautiful during our holiday in Vieste. The guide Gianni, together with the overflowing masters Peppino and Natale guided us on a journey into the past and explained all the secrets of this engineering masterpiece that is the trebuchet. Young and old were involved in fishing and the final aperitif, Bellissimo!

We waited for 30 minutes, and called two phone numbers, but nobody showed up. It is very difficult to request a refund through TripAdvisor.

Visit instructive and suggestive at the same time. We got to know the story of Molinella's Trebuchet and helped the overflowing masters turn the winches to pull up the net! My son had a great time. Thank you. Pola D.

Beautiful guided tour of the overflow with fishing demonstration with the association La Rinascita dei Trabucchi Storici. The proceeds collected through these guided tours are used for the conservation and reconstruction of trebuchets. Recommended!

Gianni, guide of the non-profit organization, and Peppino and Natale, master trabuccai, will guide you in a unique experience. You will discover when they were born, how they work and why these beautiful examples of local culture have been out of use for so many years.

Funny and interesting pity that the bad weather made only three anchovies fish. Recommended Simo for families with children.

A beautiful historical and cultural experience to do at least once in a lifetime. Great fun also for children who participate with enthusiasm. Includes a small aperitif with wine, olives, taralli and other appetizers. The guide is very nice and prepared, while the fishermen demonstrate all their experience in fishing on the trebuchet, giving unique emotions.
