John our guide was informative and humorous. However a fact was wrong and needs correction . In 1979 I along with my brother camped at the flamingo campground for 10 days. I have photos of flamingos and roseate spoonbills AT flamingo . He stated there had been no flamingo s in the area for over 100 years . Verify facts before giving tours . Just an FYI. Thanks Dan James

Really enjoyed this boat tour. You start out in a canal and then out into a Bay Area. We saw crocs, birds, manatees. Very well run business. There is a little store and food truck available for food and drinks. There is no cell service in this area but there is WiFi available.

Very nice captan and mate. Patient with questions from the public. Did a good job of adding some humor.

Captain Nick and first mate Mitch were awesome!! Mitch’s voice is so calming. We got to see a good amount of birds, American crocodiles, some dolphins, and learn more about nature around us. Food is not permitted, but any non-alcoholic drink is! Bring plenty of it!

Excellent. The naturalists program was informative and "fun", as was the boat speeding down the channel.

Our tour was filled with information, the sites were beautiful and there was a lot to see. You need to keep your eyes out, though. We saw several crocodiles and manatees and a dolphin in addition to some interesting birds. Our guide Mitchell had vast knowledge of everything we saw and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Highly recommend! One thing to keep in mind is that there are two different tours. One is bayside, which we didn’t take, we took the flamingo tour was the other side. You might want to research the differences before you book. There is a marina store right by the pick up site and further down the road a restaurant if you need heartier fare. We didn’t see any flamingos, though!

We took the backcountry tour on a cold, windy day and still loved it! Our guide was informative and outgoing. We saw manatees, crocodiles, many birds (e.g. egrets, great blue herons, little blue herons, anhinga, pelicans, osprey). The guide told us about the history and ecology of the area. He was good at describing the many tree species that we saw along the way. The tour travels along a canal the across a lake and into a large bay then returns the way you came. It departs and returns to the Flamingo Marina.

Great experience. John was a great guide! Great jokes. Very informative with the plants and wildlife. They made sure everyone could get pictures if they wanted. John talked personally with everyone which was very nice.
