Alex was a wonderful guide with plenty of fun tidbits about the city as we walked through. The different foods we got to try were all excellent and showed a really good cross section of the food scene in Auckland. I’d highly recommend this tour.

Lauren not only taught us about the food scene here, but she also taught us about the city itself and how it’s changed over the years. She ends the tour by sitting down with each party, asking them what else is on their itinerary, and giving them food recs for their other destinations.

What a great way to start our visit to NZ! I read in previous reviews that this should be the first thing you do when you get to Auckland, and it’s true. Not only do you get a nice cross section of local food, our guide Sarah provides excellent wine recommendations and advice, plus restaurants to visit. The history and geography part of the tour was fascinating, not having visited before. Mahalo Sarah, it was great!

We went on the Auckland Food tour on Wednesday, and had a great afternoon. Our guide Sarah, was a wealth of knowledge in relation to the food and wine scene in Auckland. She also has great overall knowledge of the city. Very engaging, she is one of the best tour guides we have had. Food highlights included the dumplings at Eden Noodles and the cheese tasting at Vivace at Hotel de Brett. The seafood tasting at Little Culprit was also noteworthy. Overall a great afternoon, and an excellent way to start our holiday in Auckland. We are doing the same food tour with this company in Wellington next Monday, so hoping for another great experience.

We enjoyed all the food and the glass of wine on this tour and were sorry we didn’t have time to return to the various venues. Sarah was an excellent guide. She was informative, knowledgeable and provided us a list of recommended eating spots.

We loved our tour! Sarah was a fun, knowledgeable guide and we learned so much about Auckland. The walking was very easy and accessible and we were inside much more than I thought we would be on a semi-warm day. The food was delicious and we felt more full at the end than we were expecting. It was hard to pick between the amazing dumplings, the yummy NZ wine, or the cheese platter (among other items). Great experience for the price we paid and the three hours flew by! We would for sure do it again next time we visit a place with the Big Foody tours.
