What To Expect
The Big Foody Food Tours
Join us for a gentle walking tour around Auckland city in the afternoon taking in the sights, tastes and history of this multicultural and stunning city. The tour includes a visit to one of the city’s finest purveyors of artisan products, sweet delights at a city highlight and world class ice cream. We conclude the tour relaxing with a local wine or beer sampling. If you’ve had a jet set morning or arrived in the city first thing, the Auckland in the Afternoon tour is the perfect way to enjoy a few hours, relaxed and tasty! You’ll be surprised at how much yumminess can be packed in between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.

5.00My wife and I loved this tour. Jono was our guide, and he blended Auckland information with a great guided tour of the downtown area. The food places he took us to (several of them were quite high-end) gave us a great taste of what the city had to offer and his mannerism and pacing was fun, pleasant, engaging, and super-friendly. I’d recommend this tour to anyone wanting a short but delicious introduction to the downtown area.

5.00We took this tour while visiting Auckland on a cruise ship. The meeting point was very close to the port. Laura was our guide and she did a great job. She's very personable and made sure that everyone was enjoying the tour. We made 5 stops in the downtown area of Auckland, which is very nice and easy to walk around. All of the food was of high quality and extremely well prepared. Either Laura or the restaurant proprietor explained what we were having. Our favorites were the green lip mussels and gelato. We highly recommend this tour.
Great tour with Laura! Ate mussels and oysters for the first time, great restaurants, short distances to walk.

5.00Laura showed us a great time. Several different types of food, all delicious, each a different types of food provider. She has a great sense of humor and made it fun and educational. Laura clearly knows her city and many of the restauranteurs here. It was the perfect introduction to the city and its fabulous cuisine
