What To Expect
The Big Foody Food Tours
Join us for a gentle walking tour around Auckland city in the afternoon taking in the sights, tastes and history of this multicultural and stunning city. The tour includes a visit to one of the city’s finest purveyors of artisan products, sweet delights at a city highlight and world class ice cream. We conclude the tour relaxing with a local wine or beer sampling. If you’ve had a jet set morning or arrived in the city first thing, the Auckland in the Afternoon tour is the perfect way to enjoy a few hours, relaxed and tasty! You’ll be surprised at how much yumminess can be packed in between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.

4.00I only rate this 4 out 5 because there were food items on offer I've never liked, such as Oysters. I know this was a food tour, but what stood out most to me was our host, Clare. She was genuinely sincere and concerned that everyone was enjoying themselves. Clare made proper introductions of all once we were all there and made sure to give everyone personal attention. I enjoyed the historical background and current information about the downtown area. I've included a picture of sonething in the pavement that tourists walk right over, but the history behind it was enlightening. Well done!

5.00Laura was our guide, great history lesson to go with some great food samples. The dumplings were our favourite. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something to do with a spare 3 hours and an easy walk around the CBD. Also some great food/restaurant recommendations.

5.00Went on the Big Food Tours in Auckland with my friend and we had the best time. Our tour guide, Jouno, was absolutely fabulous—so knowledgeable about New Zealand and its food scene. We tasted our way through oysters, charcuterie, wine, ice cream, and so much more. We truly left with a taste of Auckland and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting.

5.00What a great way to see a bit of Auckland and learn about the local history and architecture all while getting aquatinted with some of the restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed our time with Kath and Claire and hated for the tour to end. All of the food selections were wonderful and they even took great care to accommodate the gluten intolerant person in our group. They seem to have a great relationship with the restaurateurs which made for nice interaction while visiting them.
