What To Expect

Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station

Meet your private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning, and head up to Hangzhou City by taking a 1-hour bullet train ride. On the train, discuss your Hangzhou things-to-do list with your guide. Of course, your knowledgeable guide will give you some suggestions, and he or she will customize your day based on your needs and interests. Below literary is just an example for you.

We went to West Lake, Hangzhou Longjingshan Tea Cultural Village, and Hefang Street. We loved it! Such an amazing tour with beautiful history, culture and scenery. We couldn’t have had a wonderful time without our knowledgeable tour guide Berlin. She’s amazing. Thank you for the hospitality and amazing day!

Hangzhou with Caroline was unforgettable!!! Our 2nd tour with her was amazing from start to finish. We covered so many wonderful places in just one day and had the best lunch of our trip. We had an excellent experience on the Hangzhou tour with our Xin guide. She was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable about local history and culture. It took us to the most iconic places and helped us enjoy every moment. Everything was very well organized and we learned a lot. Definitely recommended!

The tour from end to end was seamless with a very supportive team to guide us through every step of the way from hotel to the train and thereafter the tour. Queena was there to guide us through the formalities of getting on and off the right train and security checks at the respective train stations. Something we couldn’t have done alone on our own. She looked after us well and this was extremely appreciated. Rebecca our tour guide for the tour was really upbeat and was great in guiding us through the tea plantation and temple despite the bad weather. We also had a lovely time at West Lake and an incredibly delicious local lunch. It was such a delightful tour that my husband and I decide that we want to come back and perhaps stay in Hangzhou for a few days instead of Shanghai.

Our private day trip to Hangzhou was absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Caroline. From the moment she met us at our hotel and guided us seamlessly onto the bullet train, everything was smooth, stress-free, and well-organized. The boat ride on West Lake was beautiful and peaceful, and Caroline brought the history and culture to life with her thoughtful stories. The visit to the Longjing Tea Village was a highlight — walking through the lush tea fields, learning about the famous Dragon Well tea, and enjoying an authentic local lunch made it such a unique experience. Caroline even made sure we tried the tea in the traditional way, which was a special touch. Afterward, the Lingyin Temple visit was inspiring and serene, with Caroline giving us just the right balance of guidance and space to explore. Caroline is very sweet and knowledgeable with the history of Hangzhou. She has good energy and tells the history with catching stories. The temperate was very warm, but the day was beautiful. She provided us with little personal fans which helped tremendously. The boat was very nice, proceeding with a beautiful walk through the garden and park. Then we visited a rural town with amazing views of where green tea is harvested from. We were able to buy straight from the source. Lunch was delicious! If you like beer, West Lake beer was nice after a long walk of the day. Then we got to walk it off by visiting the Buddhist temple. Our seats were even upgraded on our ride back to Shanghai.
