What To Expect
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station
Meet your private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning, and head up to Hangzhou City by taking a 1-hour bullet train ride. On the train, discuss your Hangzhou things-to-do list with your guide. Of course, your knowledgeable guide will give you some suggestions, and he or she will customize your day based on your needs and interests. Below literary is just an example for you.
West Lake (Xi Hu)
Upon arrival to Hangzhou, take a short walk by the beautiful West Lake as well as to enjoy a 45-minute relaxing boat ride. Your friendly private guide will share with you some interesting local history and stories.

5.00Wonderful day start to finish! We began at West Lake with a lovely boat ride and walk around the lake and then enjoyed a little hike up to sea the tea plantation. After enjoying some local green tea we had a delicious lunch and then went to the temple which was amazing. Caroline was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommend!
Excellent blend of China culture and history, nature experience and great cuisine.

5.00Extremely versatile tour for all tastes, superbly guided by the English-speaking LIN, a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. West Lake is a historic, garden-architectural and relaxing gem, depicted on the 1¥ note, as well as the famous Lingyin Temple and the magnificent tea plantations. The gourmets will also get their money's worth at lunch with local specialities in a wonderfully located typical restaurant. One more tip: if you can avoid the weekend, the crowds at the West Lake and the temple are probably much smaller.

5.00This was an exceptional tour and highly recommended! We don’t usually book tours on Tripadvisor but had a free day during our week in Shanghai and it has turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We have travelled extensively and are very comfortable independent travellers, but this would have been a tricky and stressful day without the tour, which ran seamlessly. Our guide was Queena and she was perfect: excellent English, extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful photographer! She was respectful of our preferences and ordered delicious dishes for us to try at lunch. We understand so much more about China thanks to her. The private boat ride on West Lake was very peaceful, the tea plantation interesting, and Lingyin Temple was truly spectacular. A big thank you to Alana for so smoothly arranging everything including dropping us off right at our dinner reservation back in Shanghai. 5/5 stars.

We couldn’t have had a wonderful time without our knowledgeable tour guide Berlin. She’s amazing. Thank you for the hospitality and amazing day!
