What To Expect

Sun Yatsen Mausoleum (Zhongshan Ling)

In the morning, meet your guide at hotel lobby in Nanjing city or Nanjing Railway Station. As this tour is flexible, please feel free let your guide know what you like, he/she will customize an itinerary for you. You can also follow the sample itinerary if you like. Typically, start the tour by visiting Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen (father of modern China) is a must visit place in Nanjing. Hike to the top of the purple mountain, learn about the China's history in 20th century, appreciate the elegant design of the mausoleum, have a panoramic view of the city, and close up look of mausoleum itself.

Zhonghua Gate (Zhonghuamen Castle)

Then head to Zhonghua gate. See the castle-style ancient city gate on a giant scale with massive masonry walls, deep arched gateways and multiple courtyards. Learn how the military defense the enemy and protect the city in the ancient times.

It is a very informative and impressive tour. We, a group of 8, traveled from Shanghai by high speed train to start the tour at Nanjing train station. Jenny, our tour guide, met us at the station as planed. She is very knowledgeable and took a very good care of our group. Our group has leaned a lot about China history starting from Ming dynasty to China civil war period. The traffic is Nanjing is rather heavy during the rush hours. Spare some time if you have to take a train back to Shanghai as we did.

John was an excellent guide. He could switch seamlessly between Mandarin and English. I highly recommend him if you are English speaking but understand some Mandarin as some concepts, ideas, words are better explained in Mandarin. Alana also provides great service support.

It was our last day in China, so we buy a return train ticket from Shanghai and reserved this tour. It turned out a good decision. We have an excellent service from Shi-shi, our tour guide, to visit the main attractions in Nanjing: Sun Yatsen mausoleum, Ming Tomb, the ancient city wall, and Confucius Temple. We also explore the Qinhuai riverbank and had an excellent lunch in the local restaurant. The itinerary is flexible. Since we are interested in history and culture of China, the tour can easily cater to our needs and interests. 5 stars!

It was a perfect day in Nanjing with our guide Fred. I did my undergrad here but never traveled within. So it was extra special for me to visit. In the morning we did purple cloud mountain. We visited the SunZhongShan mausoleum, the Ming dynasty first emperor tomb. We did a special stop at my Alma mater right after lunch Then we visited the ZhongHua Gate and QinHua River scenic area. Went through the history of Imperial examination. Fred was so knowledgeable and walked us through all the most important history and cultural importances. I’ve learned so much and such a perfect visit.

Emily’s Najing Tour was recommended by an agent in Najing to accompany me on a 1-day tour of the most important sites in and around the city I wanted to see. As a business traveller, I don’t have many days for sight-seeing, and I was impressed by the excellent planning of Emily. No time was wasted, everything went as planned !! We had a very good guide Fred Wang, and skilful and safe driver Mr Lee. We were met at our hotel lobby very punctually. Fred is a very knowledgeable, entertaining and obliging guide, and saw to all our requests. We would not have been able to visit so many places in one day if not for this tour, and fully recommend this enjoyable tour.

It was a memorable trip. I visited the Qing emperor memorial tomb, Sun Yet Sen's memorial followed by the imperial examination museum and nanjing city wall. We had a good chinese meal which included bass. Very nice. Lot of walking. We learnt a lot about Chinese history and culture. The people were very friendly and helpful. Certainly put a context to all the chinese historical drama on television.
