We did a tour of the Academia and the Uffizi gallery with Marco. The art work are amazing, but what was even better was Marco bringing out the history behind every major piece of artwork, which covered the history of the artists and circumstances. Marco is also very knowledgeable about the paintings, like how he brought out the importance of gold in one of the paintings about the visitation of Christ by the three wise men. If Marco is your guide, you will truly enjoy your visit.

This was a very positive experience overall as our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Florentine history and the evolution of fine art within the context of the Renaissance. She could not have worked harder to enhance our understanding of the period with welcome touches of humour, and a genuine willingness to answer any questions we put to her. It was outside of her control to alter the timings of the various activities, but we would have preferred a short break before embarking on the Uffizi tour. If we could offer any recommendation for future visitors, we would suggest that the company considers incorporating this into the agenda as three and a half hours without a break is very challenging even for the most ardent art enthusiast! This is the only reason for the four star review, but otherwise we were very happy with the whole experience and would certainly recommend it to other tourists of Florence and fine art.

I give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️to the tour guide, Franchesca!! She did a great job, lots of interesting information! But the “Tour Guy”company had an issue with the tickets to enter The Academia and we almost lost that part of the tour. We had to buy the tickets on our own and then Franchezca stayed with us to cover that part of the tour.

We took the tour in a small group with Marco and one other couple. Marco was an amazing art historian and we so appreciated the way that he prepared us with history and interesting facts about Michelangelo and then presented David in a reverent and inspiring way. He also showed us things all through Rome that were beautiful and unique. We spent a lot of time in the Uffizzi gallery and our experience was so enhanced by Marco‘s wonderful commentary and insights. He was truly so passionate about the art and made it really come alive for us. I strongly recommend!!!

Wow! Seeing Davis in person was so much more impressive than I expected. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so many interesting bits of information. It was a must do tour. We only had 6 people in our tour so it felt very intimate
