This does not shorten the queue. However if you are lucky enough to get Patricia as your guide, she is very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable about Florence the Medicis and the duomo. From start to finish, she was able to answer every question she was asked and did so with great humor. She is a very funny lady, and I would be happy to do the tour again just to have fun with her. She seems to know everything about history and architecture, and seems to be able to operate in multiple languages. In all, I was so happy to do this tour and so happy with Patricia.

We spent more time standing in line than on the tour. Our guide stayed upfront the entire time speaking to only the folks in front answering questions and never made her way around to engage with the rest of us. We were inside only 20mins. Not worth it.

I hate to leave one star, however, I would really save your money on this one. It’s very misleading for the length of time. We stood in line for about 1 hour 40 minutes, and then the tour was maybe 5-10 minutes long. The information shared with you is interesting, however, I suggest waiting in line without a tour as it’s free and just reading a little about it before you go in. Save your money. If you do buy a guided tour, it looks like climbing to the top of the duomo would be worth it instead. It was also very hard to understand our guides English.

I would not take this tour again. We had to wait in line with all the other ticketholders and once we got in there was not that much information to be gained. We probably spent less than 20 minues in the actual cathedral, and as beautiful as it is outside, there is not much inside. If I had to do over again, I would skip this tour, and visit on my own.

Nicely guided tour very informative. Duomo less impressive inside. Outside is beautiful work of art.

The activity, incomplete, with information we could find with our phone on the Internet, the guide only spoke for English people, we were given a headset and downloaded the app on our phones. Expensive activity for 20 euros, the guide disengaged from the group that we did not carry audio guide inside the cathedral.

There was some confusion about what this experience offered. Most people on it didn't realise we'd still have to queue in the long (free to enter) line. That said, our guide Julio was brilliant!- the time spent in the queue went super quickly thanks to his constant stream of facts and jokes... He was brilliant and getting information across in a way that had everyone laughing and smiling. Whilst we still entered via the normal queue that wouldn't cost anything, you are effectively paying for the guide to bring the experience to life, something that Julio absolutely nailed!..

I thought the outside was more beautiful than the inside . The outside has gorgeous carvings and the inside is more plain, but does have some paintings that are gorgeous. The frescos above tge alter are breathtaking. The dedication to God of the builders was so intense...
