We booked this tour to go into the duplo. We still had to be in line. So the skip the line part was not accurate. The tour guide gave great explanation

We booked a skip the line tour with host. We received a call 10 minutes before we were supposed to meet our tour and rudely asked if we would be coming. We said yes and hurried to the meeting point. There was a young girl there that said she was stressed and had only been on the job for a month and that our tickets were coming. She handed us sheets of paper, told us to download an audio guide from a QR code. Told us to go around the corner to get into the cathedral. The only line we saw was the free entrance line. We went back and she told us we needed to go around the corner from where we were. We told her we had a tour with a guide and she said there was a problem with the guide, so we could listen to the audio tour. We had no head phones and the cathedral is supposed to be silent, so we couldn’t listen to anything from our phones. We requested a refund and were denied… here’s the response from Viator… I see, upon checking here the refund request has already been sent to our tour operator and they actually rejected the refund request advising that you received the tickets and the audio guide. I do apologize but Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund. We were then told we were advised to bring ear phones but we booked a tour with a host not an audio tour. We paid 90 euros to walk into the Catherdal which is free entry and are being refused a refund. Looks like we will never use Viator again, and will be cancelling our upcoming tours we have booked. It’s too bad because we have used Viator a number of times and everything was always excellent.

This was a disappointing tour for us. Bear in mind as we discovered the entrance to the Duomo is COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE. The skip the line was pointless as we joined the SAME queue as people who were NOT PAYING.

The guide was very knowledgeable though at times her accented English was a bit difficult to follow. But her presentation was interesting and highly informative. I don't, however, understand how we "skipped the line." Our tour group waited in the normal line for a good while before being admitted to the interior.
