The Duomo is so spectacular, never disappoints. Our guide was very informative and extremely patient. We were there in Labour Day weekend and it was a little intense. She was consistently challenged by others and was always courteous and patient. We had a great visit.

Reserved the entry to the Dome through Viator with a live tour guide, Julio. He made history come alive with his vivid story telling way and open approach. Would highly recommend!

Our excellent guide was very knowledgeable, and is that is what made the experience so enjoyable. The meeting place was easy to find. We only booked on the morning of the visit, which was an easy process.

BEWARE: This is NOT a skip the line pass. As far as a scheduled time it just means whe the tour starts. We had to stand in the main line for 45 minutes just to get in. THE GOOD - Our tour guide was amazing. She was an encyclopedia of knowledge about the Duomo and Florence. If we did not have her talking to us in line, I would have walked away. Seriously, she was awesome. The inside the the Duomo for the most part is just meh. The inside of the dome is amazing with five rings of hand-painted frescoes. We did not do the climb to the dome so we were only inside for about 15 minutes.

Guide was great but the ride and disrespectful other tourist ruined the tour by interrupting the guide and when advised about the dress code they didn’t even bother to cover their shoulder not to mention wearing a tight white tank top without even wearing a bra. It was chilly, need I say more. This particular tourist had an entitled attitude and so did her entitled companions.

Julio was a fantastic guide! He had great energy and was both informative and humorous. He made sure to point out key points and show us some of his favorite features. We loved touring with Julio!

The offer is sold as a timed entry to the Duomo. This was not the case. We met the lady where indicated and waited until 2.30pm which was our timed entry with several others. Then we are all shepherded to the standard line that is huge and we wait like everyone else! We took over 30 minutes in the queue and then the actual guide spent the next 30 minutes telling us about the hierarchy of previous royalty and leaders that influenced the construction. So your money is paying for the guide and no priority. Not what we were expecting and we felt it fell short of our expectations!

Very busy attraction and long queues. However this was helpful as our guide related the interesting information and facts about the creation, design, construction and building of the beautiful Cathedral. And who knew the cupola or dome frescoes is the largest in the world. Like me, everyone believes it is the Sistine chapel! Absolutely mesmerising…no wonder the cathedral is a unesco protected structure. Worthwhile seeing.
